"You aren't worthy of Lou! He deserves someone who can love him and take care of him."
"I can do that though!" Harry interjected.
"No you can't! You can't even support yourself. How would you be able to with Louis? You wouldn't. What are you even good at? Nothing."
"I can bake?" Harry said but it came out as more of a question.
Louis' dad, Phil, laughed bitterly. "That's what the help is for." He started to walk out of the room before he looked back over his shoulder, "But we all know you can't afford to hire help."
Harry blinked back tears and left the house thinking about how all Louis had done was watch his father pick away at Harry's dignity. Not even saying a word in his defense.
When he go back to his apartment, he flipped on the lightswitch. Nothing. Fuck. Powers put again this month. He threw the ring he had in his pocket at the wall in anger.
Ring-Ring-Ri-
The phone soon joined the ring on the opposite side of the room.
