I met Brisa at the training fields. She was wearing a turquoise t-shirt with blue jeans and her hair was braided down her back as usual.
"Hi Aggelos." She said when she saw me.
I smiled. "Hey."
Suddenly, hands covered my eyes. They were warm.
"Guess who?" A funky voice growled.
"Demetrius, I know it's you." I said, holding back a laugh.
Demetrius stepped in front of me, grinning.
"I really need to step up my game!" He stated.
I giggled and he blushed. I looked away so I wouldn't lose myself. Then Hermia walked over to him and put her arm around him. I walked over to Hermia, and put my arm around her. In the distance, Iroas was coming with Alexandros. Brisa put her arm around Demetrius. When Iroas and Alexandros get to us, the griffin flied over us and landed right beside Hermia.
"Are you all ready to go?" Iroas asked.
We all nodded. I was trembling so badly it was a surprise no one noticed.
Iroas smiled. "I hope I see you all again."
Not what I call a good goodbye. It sounded like 'Hey, I might not see you ever again, so goodbye and try not to die!!' Leave it to Iroas to set you in a good mood for a quest.
"I think we should fly for the quest." Hermia said, while patting the griffin's head.
"Uh, fly?" Demetrius looked nervously at the griffins wings.
I remembered that Hephaestus was dropped off mount Olympus when he was a baby. No wonder Demetrius hates heights.
"You'll be fine. Just hold onto one of us." I assure him.
He nodded and smiled. I smiled back.
"Well? Let's go!" Hermia cried.
She got on the griffin's back looking excited. She grabbed my hand and pulled me on the griffin with her. Demetrius slowly walked towards us. I grabbed his hand and pulled him on behind me. He put his hands around my waist. I smiled. His hands were warm and strong. Brisa climbed on right behind Demetrius. Alexandros climbed on behind her. Iroas smiled at us.
"Well, farewell." He said.
The griffin took off. I looked down at the camp. I got a good look at it, because this could be the last time I would ever see the camp. Hermia was steering the griffin making sure we didn't end up in Alaska. I turned to Demetrius at this point.
"You okay?" I asked.
He looked airsick. His face was white and his eyes looked dizzy "Yup." He replied.
"No, you're not." I laughed.
I rummaged through my bag, and got out a barf bag. I passed it to him.
"Thanks." He thanked.
He put his face in it. After he looked up, he looked all better than before.
"Happy to help." I smiled and replied.
He tossed it into the air. I don't know what happened to that bag. It could have landing on an airplane.
