I walk through my school, nodding my head to those would choose to acknowledge my presence but otherwise keeping to myself. Before long my converse makes contact with the change between brick and concrete, and I look up to see the iron-clad gates in front of me signifying the edge of my school's property. Slowly I let out a small huff of breath and walk even further. As I walk my thoughts run free, my eyes running over the rough edges of the bark beside me trailing up to the tree which had entirely lost all of its leaves. And I thought back to the time when my friends and I had run down this very sidewalk, laughing, and chasing each other not caring about a thing in the world. I have the pure emotion of bliss as I happily remise back to my fond memories. Pulling my sports bottle out of my backpack, I sip out of it as I continue my journey. Finally after a half hour of walking, I had finally made my way over in front of the new dance studio. I remember how happy my mother was showing this to me, the first time she'd brought me to this place. Pulling open the glass door, I smile at the receptionist and make my way over to the dance studio after signing in.

"Good morning, (y/n)!" My Best friend yells, and I look across the studio to see her waving before she begins her warm up stretches.

I make my way over to where she is and as soon as I am in her proximity fall flat on my face, do to tripping on her stretched out leg.

"HAHAHHAHAHAHAHH!!!" She laughs covering her mouth resulting in a loss of balance from her leg stretches and falls onto her bum. "Y-you, HAHAHA."

"Shut up." I say, my cheeks burning in embarrassment, and standing up.

"Oh, by the way.." (Y/BFF/N) says, shaking off her laughing stupor and finally standing up. "Did you hear our dance teacher quit?"

"WHAT?!"

"I know right, I mean he has been teaching here for years and suddenly out of the blue gives his resignation to the owner." She sighs, "This is just a rumor, but I heard it was because some "Big fancy company" offered him a better paying job and a much better facility.

"He was a really good teacher too..." I groan. " I mean, he taught ME. ME, how to dance. That deserves an award in itself, considering how uncoordinated when I was first starting out"

My friend laughs, once again working on stretches. "Oh well. I believe they already found a replacement teacher, and he is supposed to teach us...along with the help of his son."

"I guess that's good... I'll just miss our old teacher."

With those last words I hear a commotion in front of the door, and suddenly a man around my age storms in.

"No way, I am not helping you!" He yells "quietly" but obviously loud enough for us to hear on the other side of the studio.

"Hoseok, you are." The other older looking man says sternly. "I know you aren't happy about moving here, but-"

"But what dad?!" He says his face turning redder by the second. "Why couldn't I have just stayed there!"

"YOU KNOW WHY!" The man yells, "Now, go... Grab a water, cool down and meet back here in the studio, we'll be waiting."

A few minutes after the younger guy storms off the man makes his way over to the center of the room. "annyeonghaseyo, I am your new dance teacher, please everyone introduce yourselves."

One by one we go through the introductions until finally once again the door bursts open revealing Hoseok, or, at least, I think that is his name.

"Great, you have finally arrived." The teacher smiles at his son. "Everyone! This is my son, Hoseok he will be your co-teacher I guess you could say."

"He'll be helping me when needed, but otherwise, be treated just like any other dance student in this class." He continues "Now, you have missed introductions already...so I expect you to introduce yourself after class."

And with that, the dance lesson begins.

Next thing you know, an all too familiar voice next to me yells, "(Y/N), SHE's THE BEST DANCER IN THE CLASS SHE SHOULD DO IT."

Now realizing I had somehow managed to space out, I give my best friend a puzzled look as everyone else agrees with my friend's bold statement.

"Okay then...." The teacher nods, "(Y/n), I expect you to train hard and represent us well in nationals. And with that...my class, I dismiss you."

What. Just. Happened?!
