Jenna's P.O.V.
After a few months had passed and my mother, Grandma Dona and I had settled into our new living space, it was time for me to start my first day of school. I looked at my reflection one last time before smiling widely. To make a good first impression, I decided to wear a black flared crop- top and skinny jeans along with my grey converse and a wooly white sweater to cover my shoulders. My hair was tied in long french braid and my lips were now a heart- warming shade of red. I put in a pair of gold knobs, grabbed my purple Jansport and made my way downstairs to the kitchen.

"Wow, you look so beautiful Jenna," my mother smiled and my cheeks turned a light shade of pink.

"Thanks mom," I smiled as I grabbed my lunch which was wrapped in a brown paper bag and gave my mother the car keys. I gave grandma a big hug and I rubbed Rover's head with my sweaty palms before opening the car door and waiting for my mother to fill the driver's seat.

As she drove out of the driveway, my heart started to race at the fact that in less than half an hour, I would be facing a whole swarm of strangers who would probably hate me for the person I am. You could say I was being completley overthinking everything but this was big for me.

Deena and I have been friends from kindergarten and going through a new school which is halfway from Pennsylvania, without her was like taking colour from an object and turning it into a black and white stream of lonliness.

"Stop worrying," my mom said as she snapped me out of my thoughts.

"W- What I'm not w- worrying," I stuttered before biting my lip in frustration.

"You always bite your lip when your nervous," she said calmly as I let go of my lip "and your shaking,"

I breathed out a breath of fear and panic until I saw that we were halfway there. I closed my eyes for a quick second before saying a quick prayer hoping that everything would go right today.

"You'll be fine," mom told me as she grabbed my hands in hers and turned to me. I smiled at my mom until I realized that her hands weren't on the steering wheel.

"Mom! We're going to.... crash," I said slowly until I looked outside and realized that we were parked in the wide parking lot of the school.

"Oh," I whispered to myself causing my mom to laugh.

"Well this is it. Wish me luck mom," I said as I gave her a quick kiss and got out the car.

"Here goes nothing," I said as I walked through the doors of Hillsborough High.

2 hours later
Well it has been two hours since school started and I've already made friends with the jocks, the cheerleaders and the mathletes!

HAHA! I WISH I DID!

Instead it looks like I'll be sitting alone for lunch today.

As I looked around for a place to sit in the full cafeteria, I started to see a pattern forming.

It looked as if the jocks and cheerleaders were the most popular for they had to join two tables for everyone to hold. Then the gamers sat together in the front beside the cafeteria door while the mathletes sat way in the corner next to the goths and everyone else mixed together in the centre. I looked around for potential loners until I spotted a petite brunette munching on some mashed potatoes and gravy. She had on a plain sky blue tee with high waisted shorts and sandals and her hair was in a simple ponytail. With my tray in my hand and my head held high, I walked over to her and put on a smile.

"Hi, um, is this seat taken?" I asked and she simply shook her head without making any eye contact. As I sat in the empty space beside her she shook her head vigorously before putting my tray on the table and scooting me away

"That's where Senaa sits," she smiled and I furrowed my brows in confusion.

"So is she coming here or...."

"Shes already here stupid," she spat and I scoffed at her attitutde before staring at her weird little actions. As she zipped her bag open, she took out a teddy bear and placed it gently where I was seated.

"Want some potatoes?" she asked it nicely before feeding the bear with the spoon.

"I suggest you leave," she told me and I scoffed again "We dont like newbies,"

As I took my tray and walked away, I decided to eat in the bathroom.

BETTER SAFE THAB SORRY!
