I woke up today to sunlight beaming in through the blinds. Mark was lying by my side and he was slightly snoring, so I chuckled. He woke up as I did so, and his bed head made me chuckle even more. It was sticking up on all sides, and he looked into the mirror and laughed with me. "Sleep well I'm guessing?" I said as he went straight to the bathroom to fix his hair. "I'm not going to lie, not really." He said as he put water on his hair to fix it from sticking every which way. "Really? It sure looks like it!" I said chuckling as I too got up to brush out my long, brown hair. "I had a bad dream about...well never mind." He started to say until he regretted it. Any time someone starts to say something and then tries to go back on it, they realize they have to say it now. "Aren't you going to tell me about it? You can't just bring it up and not tell me!" I said as I stomped my foot and crossed my arms playfully. "Don't do-" He started to say until I brought out my puppy eyes and puffy lips. "You have to, though! It's not fair!" I whined until he said "OKAY, OKAY GEEZ ANNA!" He exclaimed as we both walked out of the bathroom to sit on the bed. "So, what was it about?" I asked worried. Mark hesitated until he looked me in the eyes and said, "It was about losing you; it was horrible every time, until I woke up to make sure you were right beside me." He looked at me and kissed my forehead as I sat there, dumbfounded by what he just said. Losing me? I thought to myself as I got up to change clothes. Well at least he knows it wasn't real.

I went downstairs to make some breakfast even though I wasn't that hungry. I was making eggs and pancakes for about ten minutes until I realized I haven't seen Mark lately. I wonder where he went. Oh well I haven't heard the door close so he's around the house somewhere. He'll show up eventually once he smells breakfast. I continued to flip the pancakes and once they were done, I put them onto a plate and buttered them. I kept on flipping the eggs until I thought I heard footsteps. I quickly turned around, but nothing was there. I wasn't going to think it was nothing like the people in the horror movies, because that's how they always die. lol, anyways, I kept looking behind me until I wasn't paranoid anymore. I was so paranoid that when I looked behind me for the tenth time, I looked back at burnt eggs. "Of fucking course." I mumbled aggravatedly as I tossed the eggs into the trash. As soon as I got other eggs from the almost empty carton, I cracked them into the pans once more. After I finished the eggs, I put them onto a plate and brought them over to the dining table along with the pancakes. I went over to the stairs and stopped at the bottom to yell, "Mark breakfast is ready!" There wasn't a reply. "Mark?!" I said once more. still no reply. "Mark where are you?!" I said as I walked up the stairs. I was about to walk into the bedroom until a hand came over my mouth and dragged me onto the bed. My screams were muffled until I realized it was Mark who did it. He was laughing so hard, and my face was as red as a tomato. "Mark that wasn't funny, you scared me so bad!" I finally said calmer than I expected. "I'm sorry, I had too. Your reaction was priceless." He said, laughter breaking his sentence up. "Well, ha-ha!" I said trying to sound amused. "There, are you happy now?" I asked as he nodded his head and chuckled. "I made breakfast, and we need to eat it before it gets cold, we don't have an endless supply of food anymore." Mark nodded and we both got off the bed, left the bedroom, and went downstairs to the dining table. "I made you eggs and pancakes!" I said smiling brightly. "My favorite! Now, how is my baby doing this morning?" Mark said as he grabbed his plate and his fork, then sat down. "Well, I almost had a heart attack upstairs earlier, but I'm fine now." I said chuckling as I took a big bite out of my pancakes and eggs. "Sorry! Geez, can't I have a little bit of fun around here?" He said as he devoured his pancakes and eggs. "Nope sorry you can't, didn't you see the 'No Fun' sign before we moved in?" I replied as I punched his arm playfully.

As we put our now empty plates into the sink, I went to sit on the couch and read my book about "The Girl Who Waited". It is a fantasy about a girl waiting on a time lord to come and save her from her horrible life, living in a house with parents who drink all the time. As I was reading, Mark came up behind me and hugged me around my neck. He kissed me on the cheek and walked around the couch to sit beside me. "Whatcha reading?" Mark asked in his girly voice as I chuckled. "Oh, just another book from my favorite author, Amelia B.!" I replied as I kept on reading. "Why are you so obsessed with her books? Are they like good or something?" He said as he laughed, and I looked up at him. "No, they are the worst things I've ever read before in my whole entire life!" I said showing a lot of sarcasm. "I don't even get how you like books, I'm in love with movies because they don't take as long to do." Mark said as he snatched my book away to look at what it was about. "Wow Mr. Lazy-Ass, anything else I can help you avoid spending a lot of time on?" I replied as I grabbed my book out of his hands. "Not right now, but you could help me skip this boring day by taking a nap with me. I didn't sleep well again last night as you know, so why not help me make up my sleep with a well-deserved nap?" Mark asked as he began to make the puppy eyes toward me. "No..." I tried to say until he made his eyes even more convincing. "No Mark, then we won't be able to sleep TONIGHT." I said this as I got up to get a drink of water. "Why do you always have to be so rude? Pleeeeeaaassseee?!" Mark came over to me and lifted up my chin to look into his eyes. "Ummmm...." I started to say until he interrupted with another dragged out,"Pleeeeeaaassseeee, Anna??" "OKAY FINE MARK!" I said as I pulled away to run up the stairs. "Race you!" I yelled as I ran up the stairs. "That isn't fair! You got a head start!" He yelled as I looked back to see him run up the stairs after me. "Well, you should know by now I'm not the fastest runner alive!" I laughed as he caught up with me before we came crashing onto the bed. We were both panting heavily as I collapsed face-first onto the pillows. Mark took the pillows I wasn't laying on and threw them onto the floor and rolled down some of the covers. As he rolled down the covers, I had to get up to roll them down on my side. I got under the covers with him, and I snuggled up on his chest. "Have a good nap, Mark." I laughed as I closed my eyes. "I will baby, sweet dreams." And again, I fell asleep instantly.
