The next morning you woke up with a sense of determination. This was your first official day of work, and you already had a set objective.
After dinner, the boys had come to an agreement that you could go out the next day and use the band's debit card to buy yourself anything you would need, along with a list of items they required for both personal and business reasons. Even though you attempted to refuse many times, they insisted you buy a new laptop for yourself, since you had warned them yours current computer wasn't in the best condition. Jordon started to constantly remind you a lot of your tasks would be online, which you had already guessed. After a lot of persuading, you finally gave in and told them you would buy one. This ended up with George giving you the band's debit card to hold onto to until further notice and gave you a twenty minute password remembrance test.
The apartment was very quiet as you traversed though it, making you question if they were all still sleeping or had the ability to just be this silent. Which, based on your time spent with them last night, you highly doubted the latter. It wasn't until you had reached the living room when you noticed not all of the boys were locked in their rooms somewhere. Danny was sitting on the couch, looking at his phone with a bored expression on his face. You were just about to greet him, but he seemed to have that thought before you.
"Hey y/n. What's up?" You paused your walking, a couple feet away from the front door to converse with the lead singer. Even though you raised your head to look at him, your eyes rested on the wall behind him out of nervousness.
"Good morning. I was just about to go out and get the things we talked about yesterday." Danny's expression changed as he placed his phone down.
"Do you want me to come with you?" You quickly attempted to hide your flustered face, covering it up with a smile.
"Ah, no. It's fine. I mean, only if you want to. I wouldn't want to bother you or anything." You fumbled over your words, but Danny only seem to chuckle and stand up, slipping his phone into his pocket as he did so.
"It's no problem, really. I don't want you to get lost. Plus, it can be dangerous out there alone for a girl like you." Right. You weren't in your hometown anymore, where the most dangerous circumstance would be some kids in their tweens throwing rocks at passing cars.
Before you could comment, Danny was already holding the front door open for you.
"Ready?" His smile seemed to calm your nerves to a degree and you walked out of the open door, murmuring a thank you. Silence washed over the two of you as you headed down to the main parking lot of the apartment complex. When you reached the curb, Danny cursed under his breath.
"Fuck. Looks like Jordon didn't come back yet." You didn't even bother questioning where the musician went as Danny turned to you with an apologetic look. "Do you mind walking?"
You met it when an accepting grin, "No." And thus, you and Danny traveled onto the sidewalk and began your trek to the store. You made mental notes of the places you had passed, wanting to know the area as well as you could. You did live here, after all.
Anything you could remember now could potentially save you from an embarrassing situation later on. You had just switched your focus to the gray stone of the building you were currently passing when Danny spoke up in an attempt to vaporize the, no doubt awkward, air between the both of you.
"So, how do you like L.A. so far?" Your gaze was steady on the way ahead while you walked.
"It's nice, but I still feel a little weird being away from home." Your met his look from the corner of your eye before giving him a small shrug.
"Yeah, I guess it can take some time getting used to." A sudden questioned popped into your head when he had said that.
"If you don't mind me asking, why was Los Angeles picked as the spot for you guys to live?" You hoped that wasn't a stupid question to ask as you turned the corner.
"Well, we've all grown up here. The boys are all childhood friends and made the band. I came in a little bit after. It only made sense to stay here where we all have family and know the area." You nodded in understanding, storing this information in case you ever needed it.

After the fifteen minute walk was over, you and Danny had finally reached your destination. It was some sort of all purpose supermarket that you didn't have in your home town, so you just assumed the chain of stores were only around here.
After going inside, you and Danny grabbed a cart and began going over the list of needed items on your phone.
"Should we get the speakers first?" Your cheeks puffed out in thought as you turned to the brunette.
"Yeah, if you want." Danny began to lead the way, leaving you to follow with the cart. It wasn't long until you had reached one of the electronic aisles. You silently searched for the object Jorel had requested, which was a small USB speaker for the studio room.
Your (eye color) eyes locked onto a blue and white box on the top shelf, catching your attention right away. Standing on your toes, you tried to get the speaker box. It was a few inches above you, but you just assumed you could grab it.
"Do you need a little help there?" Danny's voice came from beside you, his hands suddenly overlapping yours and helping you retrieve the object. Something seemed to flutter in your stomach as you felt his hands guide yours from the top shelf to eye level, but you couldn't pinpoint why.
"T-thanks." You avoided his gaze before he let go of your grasp, allowing you to place the speaker into the cart. Your main focus turned into keeping your heart rate at a normal pace, quickly taking lead while walking so he couldn't see your rosy cheeks. Danny made your next objective to be picking out the new computer. He didn't seem to notice how much his skin brushing against yours made you, someone who wasn't used to people talking to her(let alone touching her), flustered.
