Katherine... she heard an indistinct voice whisper. She could not make out wether it was male or female.

She was in the clearing again, but this time there was no peace, no serenity. The skies were clouded and stormy. The peaceful little pond looked more like a raging ocean in the middle of a hurricane. The trees were swishing around violently. The wind was howling and carrying debris and dust along with the terrified whispers of haunted souls. Katherine...she heard them moan.
Katherine!... it was getting louder, harsher, she could feel its erratic pants as if they were her own.
Run, Katherine...
Leave before he comes back.. get away!
Go!
Don't let him get to you!
RUN! It screamed.
"No! No! Leave me alone! Get away from me!" She scremed, terrified of the whispers in her ears, whispers that she felt in her soul. She fell to the ground and curled herself so the her head was hidden behind her knees. Covering her ears with her hands.
And then, she heard him.
The man with golden eyes.
"Kathy look at me" She heard him say calm and collected.
"No no no no, make them leave, please, make it stop" she chanted, trembling, not facing him.
She felt him grip her shoulders. "You have to stop Kathy, look at me!"
"Look at me!" He shouted, shaking her violently.
He cupping ker cheeks in his warm hands and jerked it up.
That was all it took. The world came to a halt. Everything froze in place. The water, the trees, the wind, Time. It just stopped.
His eyes. That was all she could see. Boring into her, peering through to her very soul. "It's alright angel, you're alright" She heard him whisper. She was drowning in their golden hue, litrally diving into their depths.
"I'm alright" she whispered "I'm alright."
Her eyes opened.

My god... thought Katherine as her eyes fluttered open. That was the strangest dream she had ever gotten. It had terrified her. And she couldn't get those golden orbs out of her head.

She shivered, I should just stop thinking about him. She thought as she stared up at the ceiling of the cottage.

As she sat up she got her first actual view of the place. It was better than she had expected a cabin in the woods to be. Quite homey and warm. And the bed was the best, so soft and awfully large too. She wondered if he had someone to share it with.

Her cheeks heated, Oh Lord! What am I thinking!

She shook her head and tried to think clearly.

Peeking out the window, she saw the sun was at its highest peak. I've spoilt myself today, she thought. It was the first time she had ever woken up so late, it was also the first time she had gotten to bed so late. She figured it didn't matter anymore. She had no one to take care of, no one to care for her. She was alone.
No more, she sniffled. It's done.
It would be best not to think about it.
She had a quick bite of bread from her pouch. She could manage the rest of the day with what she had, then she would have to buy something. Hopefully her money would last her a couple of days before it ran out. She thought she should take off tomorrow, maybe he would let her stay another night.

The man with golden eyes.

She could not understand her eagerness to know his name. She'd never done that before. She wanted to see him, what did he look in daylight? she wondered. He is most probably very handsome. He had to be to justify his beautiful voice... she sighed. It was clear she was attracted to him. But how does a person feel attraction towards someone they haven't even seen yet. Maybe it was his voice, or his mesmerising golden eyes. Or maybe I'm coming up with a fever she thought fanning herself.

She wondered why he hadn't return to his cottage, maybe because she was occupying it. He should have returned, Katherine would've been fine on the floor, she just needed a roof over her head.
Maybe it was for the best, she was after all a woman and she might have not taken well to a strange man sleeping in the same roon as her.

Katherine wasted away a couple of hours lost in her thoughts, then she decided to be producive and help her host a bit, so she did some sweeping and mopping, she dusted the house and rearranged the bed covers. The place looked like new after she was finished with her chores, she made sure not to touch or move any personal material. She did not want to be kicked out.

It was dark out now.

Maybe she should go see of he was there. Now I'm getting silly, she thought. He wouldn't waste his time just to tell her his name. It was still early anyway. An hour or two more then she would go.

She found herself walking back to the clearing. She had idled around for an hour, then she couldn't resist. He was pulling her towards him like a moth to a flame. Katherine just hoped she wouldn't get burned. Walking into the clearing, she looked around, nothing insignificant, same as yesterday, just missing a pair of beautiful gold eyes.

"You're late" she heard him drone out. Her heart beat picked up pace.

He was here.
