Katherine was aprehensive, she did not know how Orpheus looked, but she had seen his eyes. They were hard to miss, glowing through the darkness.

She moved back until she encountered a wall. "Why should I believe you? What if you were the one who attacked us and took me away?"

"You know it's me Kathy, you hear it in my voice" he pleaded softly "listen"

He did sound the same, but there were many people in the world who had similar voices.

"It's not enough!" Exclaimed Katherine "His eyes were golden, I know they were!"

"I know, and they are. Just trust me for now, wait until sunset, just a few moments more." He said, swallowing. Her eyes went to his throat as she watched his adam's apple bob. "I would not hurt you, I promise. If I wanted to, I wouldn't have taken care of you all night"

Hearing this Katherine calmed slightly, but she was still on guard. The attack had left her wary.

"Alright, but if you can't prove me wrong by sunset, you let me leave." She compromised. "How can you possibly be him? I don't understand, was I delusional the whole time? Did I just imagine his golden eyes-"

"You'll find out" he chuckled nervously.

"Oh" even his laugh was similar to his. No this is crazy, or maybe she was becoming delusional.

She slid along the wall, and placed herself on the edge of the bed, her feet still on the ground. She was clearly curious about the man infront of her, if her unsettling stare was any indication. He should be uncomfortable by how intense her glare was, but he seemed unphased. Like her criticising looks had no effect on him, Katherine knew better. When people stare with judgement, anyone is bound to be effected. She knew by experience. Unless he had learned to ignore them, which she never could. He did not seem like he was ignoring her, he was holding her gaze with confidence.

"Tell me what happened last night." She said. "What was it that struck me?"

His answer surprised her, "A panther"

He said it as if it were a plain fact, "Don't try to fool me, a panther can't have that much strength. I was practically flying"

"Well it wasn't a normal panther" he said with a flat voice, his face void of any emotion, he shrugged. "It was a demon's pet, the one that transforms"

Katherine sat there dumbfounded. She had decided.

This was not Orpheus. It was some lunatic who had abducted her. Oh Lord, she was being held by a crazy man. She decided it would be safest if she did not provoke him. It would be best if she tried to fool him and ran away as fast as she could.

"W-well, what did you do with it?" She stammered slightly, choking down a paniced cry for help, discreetly eyeing the door.

"I chopped its head off" he said, his voice seemed to echo through the small cottage. Katherine thought her heart stopped beating for a moment.

He turned his head to the window, probably to see the sun was setting yet. He would probably murder her at sunset, she thought, maybe he was going to perform some sort of deranged dark magic with her blood.

She needed to get out of there. Now.

Pushing herself off the bed, Katherine made a dash towards the door, running as fast as she could. Just as she swung open the door, she felt herself being hauled back into the room by two muscular arms around her torso. He threw her over her shoulder as she screamed for help.

"No!" She screamed as loud as she could, thrashing in his hold. "Let go of me! Let go! Please!"

She felt her self being thrown back on the bed, and her arms being restrained by his hands. She could hear her own gut wrenching sobs as he straddled her, both his legs on either side of her thighs. She was blubbering in desperation "No, please. Stop!"
