Later that day I was walking out of the door when I noticed something,"dang it like a twat I've gone and forgotten my eye liner".I quickly ran back in and rushed to my  room and grabbed my black eye liner then realised I had left my white hair dye as I wanted to dye my hair,"oh why not?" I asked myself,I had an hour anyway so I quickly got my hair done and spiked it out.I decided it looked pretty cool, I was playing with my hair when I cut my hand on my spiked necklace,"oh geez just what I needed" I checked my skull clock NO I was ten minutes late I legged it before my mum could say bye I was gone.I met Joe and started climbing when I was about halfway I called down,"you coming?".His only word was,"how"."Hang on I'll phone Nadine and  Mari!"was my reply.Minutes later they appeared "we're here," T managed to splutter in between large breaths."Wait where is shan," said Nadine realising I wasn't there.Joe just simply pointed up as I called down,"Up here babe,".They slowly looked up and Nadine said with with a (sexy) grin across her face,"huh,trust him.""Um can you three climb up here please,"I shouted."we'll," said T (again with a sexy grin)they are really good at that if you didn't guess.As soon as they were all up there we started talking.I explained what was going on and probably started rambling again but who cares.I finally spotted Lakeisha and Martyn they were with two other people."Who are they," I called over."They are Quinn and Lirael,"Martyn snapped back.This kind of annoyed me but when I lifted my newly dyed hair to reveal my spiked necklace and called over ,"they're detachable you know!",he soon backed down,"that's what I thought!"it was all I could say there wasn't much more I could say.I tryed my best to control my chin but it was no use bit by bit I could feel my chin slip further and further away from its natural position.I fiddled just underneath my neck Quinn gave a look that said what the heck.Well I didn't want to answer but one of the weirdest things I can do is loosen my jaw. There are numerous things I can do that my friends can't you may find out more during my story.Martyn pulled back eight chairs."Take a seat everyone,"Said Martyn carefully surveying me closely. "You Darren Shannara," I cut him short,"Darren please,"I pleaded."Ok,Darren would you freak out if I told you you're not human?""With what I've been through these last couple of days it doesn't surprise like you could tell me vampires are real and I would take you seriously cause boy I'm always ill and hungry no matter what I try."Quinn,Lirael,Lakeisha and Martyn exchanged glances,looked at me and then at each other again."Well they are real in fact your half-vampire which yes it is exactly why you have those symptoms and no you cant live on animal blood anyway back on topic you want answers,yes?""Yes,so what's the catch?""You have to come with us,"the news hit me like a kick to the stomach,"and you can only bring one person and once we have found our desired target you must go solo."This fact made me want to cry in fact I did cry...inside as there was no time for emotion nor feeling."One question,will I ever be able to see them again?""No,"came the reply of Martyn this time his voice was distant and I believe I could detect sympathy."I DON'T WANT YOUR SYMPATHY!""I'm not coming with you then,"I said calmer this time."I'm afraid you don't have a choice,you cant walk away from your destiny young Darren,"they replied I unison."Ok if I can't run then I suppose I'll run,"Before they had a chance to react I had turned and leapt across to the next building top it was an amazing feeling to be free I had been restricted all my life until now."He's a goner guys come we'd better catch him,""Leave it Martyn,"Lirael replied."B-but he's my brother,DON'T YOU BLOODY UNDERSTAND HE'S MY BLOODY BROTHER AND HE'LL DIE OTHERWISE!!!""Then let him," she replied"This conversation is over.""DARREN!"called my friends but I was long gone...planning my death.
