A New Home

It felt like the plane ride lasted forever. I missed everyone already. Once i got to the airport there was a man holding up a piece of paper with my last name on it. I walked up to him and he asked "Are you Ms.Emery?"

" Yes and you are?" I asked him.

"I am Mr.Cullen and I am here to take you to Tennesse State." We went to a car and he put my bags in the trunk as I got into the car.
Once we got to the college I grabbed my bags and went inside. Once I got inside there was alot of people from different countries. I looked around a little before I went to the table where I was supposed to sign in. After I walked to go stand in a corner where no one would hopefully see me. I looked around the room a little bit more until my eyes focused on one area in the room. I saw Ryan Follese waiting with his mother. I couldn't believe it Ryan Follese was here and he was letting someone into his house for 6 months. I was so excited hoping it was going to be me but with my luck over the years it was not going to happen. We all had to go and take our seats so I left my luggage wear I was standing. They read off names and names until they finally got to the E's. They were going by last names. "Emery" they called." You are going to be staying at the Follese residence".I was staying at the Follese residence. I controlled my excitement and couldn't wait to tell Lilly about this. It was time to leave and I went to go get my luggage when a familiar voice stopped me." Hi I'm Ryan I am the person you will be staying with." He said

"Hi I'm Mel pleased to meet you Ryan." I politely responded. We walk the rest of the way to my luggage getting to know each other. "Here let me take that". He said gesturing to my suitcase.

"No I've got it. It's fine". I put on my backpack and grabbed my suitcase. I followed Ryan to where his mother Adrienne was standing. "Hi I'm Adrienne but you can call me mom since you will be here awhile". She said

"Hi I'm Mel. Nice to meet you". I said shaking her hand in which she engulfed me into a hug. I grabbed my things and went to the car. The house was huge. Once we got in they announced that there was a new member of the family and two people came bounding down the stairs." Hi I'm Jamie, Ryan's brother".

"And I am Anna, Ryan's sister nice to meet you".

"I'm Mel nice to meet you too".

"Where are you from?"Jamie asked.

"I'm from England"

"Wow you have an amazing American accent."Adrienne said

"Once I found out I was going to America I started to work on my American accent but sometimes I end up speaking in my English accent."I said

"Ok, in the mean time Ryan will show you to your room."she said. Ryan grabbed my suitcase before I could get a hand on it and I followed him up the stairs." How do you like it here?" He asked

"It's nice it may take a little getting used to though."I said

"Here's your room I hope you like it"

"Thanks". The room was blue,black, and gray strips and right next to Ryan's."I have one question"

"What?"

"Do they have sports I can tryout for?"

"Yeah their is soccer, basketball, and softball as the major ones."

"Cool!"

"Do you want help unpacking?"

"No it's fine"

"Ok just come down when your done." And with that he left me to my new room. I started to unpack when there was a knock at the door. "Hi my mom said I should help you unpack."Anna asked.

"Ok."I said. She grabbed some thing and laid them out on the bed. " What is this?" She asked as she held up a long thin case.

"That is my flute I am thinking of joining band." I said.

"That's cool can you play it for me. The only real instruments I hear around here are drums and sometimes a guitar."

"Maybe later"

"Ok well is that all of your things"

" Yup." I said sitting down on my bed.

" Do you want to go down stairs?"

"Sure." I said as I got up." Just a sec I forgot to call someone." She walked out of the room and I started to Lilly.

"Hello"

" Hi! Guess what?"

"What?"

"I am staying at the Follese house for 6 months."

"No way that's awesome."

"I know and it is gorgeous."

"I wish I could go see you I miss you so much"

"I know I miss you too. Well I got to go i will call you tomorrow. Bye."

"Bye." She hung up and as I started to tear up. I went down stairs and I went to go find Anna. Time went by so fast that day, it made me so sad.
