The First Day

I woke up to my alarm going off and Ryan jumping on top of me." Get up! Get up! Its the first day of school!" He said.

"Go away and let me sleep!" I said as I covered my head with the comforter. He pulled it off of me and I shivered.

"Get up! We don't want to be late." He yelled.

"Ok! Ok, I am going." I put on jeans and a plaid shirt with a tank top underneath. I braided my hair and I was ready in a few minutes. "You tell me to get up and you are still getting ready!" I said seeing Ryan putting hair spray in his hair to get it just right.

"Well usually girls take longer."

"Well I am not that type of girl who takes forever." I said as I walked down the stairs to the kitchen. We were the only ones up so I had to be quiet. A half an hour later Ryan is finally came down stairs. "Do you want breakfast or no?" Ryan asked.

"No I never eat breakfast before school." I said. He grabbed an apple and we left. It didn't take long for us to get to the school but as soon as we got there, there was a lot of people. We got out of the car and started walking to the doors. "Mel!!" I heard someone scream. I turned around to see two familiar faces. "Jackie! Jade!" I ran up and hugged them, I saw Ryan looking at me as if I had three eyes or somethings wrong with me. "Hey I want you to meet someone," I pulled them over to Ryan and introduced them. I got my schedule and most was music classes and a photography class. The day went by pretty quick, I met some new people and it was finally time for soccer tryouts. I couldn't wait there was a lot of girls there and I got even more nervous because some of them have been playing at the school for years. Most of the time we did drills and ran for have of it then the rest was a full field scrimmage. I played defends like I normally do, the coach was nice and she was making the first cuts as we played. At the end of the tryout she told us who stayed and who left but that there were going to be more tryouts tomorrow, I made the first tryout but I was even more nervous for tomorrow's.

* A couple weeks later at the last soccer game of the season before Halloween

It was the day of jade, Jackie, and my lay soccer game. We were just warming up when I say Ryan walking to the field with Jamie, Anna, Nash, and Ian. I haven't properly met Nash and Ian yet because I never see them during the day except for some classes and lunch where I purposely avoid new people I would have to talk to. But then once the game was about to start I saw someone who I would never expect or want to be there. My Father. Instead of thinking about him I focused on the game. Since the ball was on the other half of the field the defense moved up to half but knowing me I wandered even father up the field looking for a pass so I could take a long shot, but suddenly the ball passed me and I was in a race with a girl from the other team to get it. She got the ball first but I soon cut in front of her and took the ball. Once I had the ball in my possession I passed it to Jackie who was playing center defense on my side and she then passed it back, I dribbled up the field to soon pass it to jade who took advantage of the pass and took the shoot me and Jackie slowed down our running once we saw the shot it was amazing it was gliding through the air and as soon as it reached the net it skimmed the goalies fingers but went right in to then tie the game at 2-2. We ran up to jade to congratulate her and then the whistle blew indicating that it was half time. In the second have the goal stayed 2-2 until the last minute when we had a corner kick. Our midfielder Amarri took the kick I ended up moving up to the back post and having jade move back because I knew she wouldn't take the header if she had the chance. The ball suddenly was kicked and my heart was racing it got to me so I jumped and headed it as hard as I could.

I saw Mel at the back post of the goal suddenly jump up and head the soccer ball and the whistle blew the goal made it in the game was over Mel scored there last winning goal jade ran up to her and picked her up she was so happy. The whole team ran on to the field congratulating her they played an amazing game. I could believe that she just headed it in, she looked at me as I was screaming in excitement.

"Dude shut up! Why are you yelling so loud?" Ian asked

"Because that was the greatest goal I have ever seen and plus that is the girl that is staying with us" I replied

"Yeah and he has a crush on her too" Anna said

"Shut up Anna!" I said annoyed

"But it is true" Jamie added

"So what shut up she is coming over here" I said as Mel walked over.

Jackie was giving me a piggyback ride to where Ryan was , as some kind of congratulations thing. "Hey guys!"

"Hi! That was an amazing goal!" Ryan said while trying to give me a hug.

"Thanks and I would hug me I am kinda sweaty from running around," I said as Ian nudged Ryan.

"Oh right I forgot you haven't met, Mel this is Ian, Ian this is Mel, Mel this Nash and Nash this is Mel" He said while introducing us.

"Nice to meet you!" I said

" Nice to meet you too" they both said. Then I remember my father was here but before I could say anything else there was a voice coming from  behind me. "Hello Melanie!"

"Hello Father."I said
