I walked over to my suitcase and see another notepad inside of it. I turn to the page inside of it. Brandon wrote me a love letter. It goes like this:
Tiffany,
You're such an amazing girl and I'm blessed that I found you. You mean so much to me and I apologize for the confusion that happened on the day you got poisoned. I hope that you don't decide to leave us quite yet, we're just starting to get close. I know we're not through many states as far on this trip and I just hope that once we're done, you would be okay with staying with me. I know it's a little soon to be asking, but knowing that you don't have much money and a home, I decided to want to give you a home. If you're not ready for anything like that, feel free to tell me. I'll always be here for you Tiff, and you better know that the other guys here are too. Trust me.
--Brandon
I started to shed a tear. My hand rubbed it aside. I put the notebook all the way in the back of the suitcase underneath all my clothes. I don't want to answer so quickly, I don't want things to go by so quickly. I don't need to think about this right now anyways. I pick out my clothes, placed them to the side in a pile and zipped up the suitcase. I picked up the stack and turned around, not knowing that anyone was in front of me. We both fell to the ground. I gather up my stuff of the ground while muttering negative thoughts. Stupid, Tiffany. You should have known better. I look up and see it was Brandon. I put the stuff aside and got closer to him.
"Are you okay?" I asked feeling the back of his head.
"I'm fine, are you okay?" He asked.
"I'm fine too, don't worry, I'm tough as nails." I smiled.
"Sure you are." He put out his hand.
"Thanks, I need to get up and get ready." I say grabbing his hand to help me up.
"Get ready for what?"
"I thought maybe we could go down to the beach, we're close to one in New Jersey." I say.
"How do you know where we are?"
"I took a road trip with my parents and I remember all the places we went to. I took many pictures by the way."
"You seem very well rounded."
"I guess you can say that, I'm kinda like a human GPS."
"You're not technology, you're human and a fantastic one at best."
"Thanks. But we should ask to stop around here and we could possibly go to the beach here."
"I'll ask, go get changed and we'll see if we can go."
"Okay."
I gave him a kiss on the cheek and we both went our separate ways. I got to the bathroom and I realized it was the wrong time. Again. Bennett was inside again. Thank god he had the black curtain separating us.
"Sorry, Ben." I say.
"You can stay in here." Ben said through the drops of the shower.
"I'll just get in here when you're done." I put my hand on the handle.
"No, it's fine. It's not like this is the first time this has happened."
"You got a point," I say putting my clothes on the sink.
"I know, why are you in here this time."
"I just needed to change, that's all. No pep talk needed now."
"Okay, if you need me to leave, it's okay."
"It's fine, don't worry, I doubt you can see me through the curtain."
"I can only see shadows, that's all."
"I doubt it, I bet you can see me."
"No, really I can't."
"Okay."
"So what are you changing for?"
"Brandon wanted to talk to the driver and see if he can pull over and let us go to the beach today."
"Sounds like a hot date between you both."
"Trust me, it's not going to be a hot date."
"Be that way."
I took off everything and kept my eyes on the curtain to see if Bennett could see my body.
"You sure you can't see me."
"Unless you want me to see you."
"Please don't. Brandon hasn't seen me, nor has any other guy seen me, so no."
"Okay, I'll keep my eyes shut." Bennett hit his shoulder on the curtain.
I rolled my eyes as I put on my swimsuit and cover up over it. I see my phone rang. It's a text from Brandon.
We can go, make sure you're ready to go! - B
"Who was that?" Bennett asked.
"Brandon, he's just telling me if we can actually go to the beach here."
"Awesome, I hope we can hang out there and not be around you two lovebirds."
"Sounds good, I think we needed some time alone anyways."
"Just don't make any babies tonight please."
"Saving for marriage, and I'm making sure it doesn't happen too soon."
"Good job, Tiffany."
"Why do you say that?"
"Because you should have your own mindset and not let anyone force you into anything. You got your head right on your shoulders."
"Thank you, Bennett. I'm glad I have you to talk to."
"I'll always be here, don't worry."
"Good. Can I get a hug after you're out of the shower?"
"Sure, I guess I can do that."
"Okay."
I see Ben's arm grabbing the towel from the shelf above the toilet.
"One second, and I'll be out to hug you."
"Okay, take as long as you need."
He pushed aside the curtain and approached me with open arms and wrapped them around me. I wrapped my arms around his torso.
I let go, "Thanks for everything."
"You're so welcome. And don't forget I'll be here for you anytime."
"Good, I'll need it being around all these guys."
I opened the door and left the bathroom with my dirty clothes in my arms and approached my bag and put them inside. I look to see Brandon hugging me from behind.
"I can't wait for us to be together alone." Brandon let go.
"Me either, I need sometime away from the madness here." I turned around.
The bus came to a stop and everything shook backwards.
"Well, that was a stop, that's for sure." I say.
"Well, you're gonna have to get used to that."
"I'm trying!" I zipped my bag and got my phone turned off and placed it inside the pocket inside the suitcase.
"Let's go, I have our towels."
"Okay, let's go!"
We approached the door and started to run until the sand got on our feet and started walking from that point onward.
