Too many times I been wrong , I guess being right takes to long ; I hit snooze on my alarm ;I sit there and look out the window it's pouring down rain I get tired of this gloomy ass weather oh well I rub my hand through my jet black and honey blonde hair as I get up to go to the bathroom I take a quick glance into keana and kesha's room and proceed to go and take a shower I put my hair in a ponytail and turn on my radio and turn in the hot water , I just sit there for about five minutes thinking and I finally washed up and got out and put my towel around my body.
I walked in Kesha's and keanas room to see keana looking out the window that little girl is just like my own (she's my little sister but we have different moms she's just a little darker than me with black wavy hair like mine and her eyes are big and bright with happiness but sometimes I look in them and there's sadness only because I can't explain our situation because I don't know anymore than she does I just know my mom walked out on me and her mom basically gave her away to my dad as a baby and he brought her here with auntie Nicole with me I remember when I first seen her she was a little baby not and bigger than both of my hands put together).
I walk in and tap her on the shoulder keana "what's wrong baby" "nothing I just want to know why I never knew daddy" ? She replies keana listen I know that we both don't really know anything about daddy and I try not to think about it just know that you have me and keysha here and we love you .
But I have to get ready for these girls to go down to the basement to get there hair done do you think you can watch keysha for me ? I look at her and wait for a response she looks at me and responds" yeah it's not like your going somewhere it's just downstairs " she laughs loud "don't be a smartie pants ok little girl" I had to laugh myself and slip keana a twenty for watching Kesha " what's this for" she asked confused " for watching keysha today now I have to get ready, I kiss her cheek and walk to my room and put on a purple fitted shirt and some Nike sweatpants" and go to the basement that I call the shop this is my place to do hair I do it all weaves, cut , color , washing I do it all .
It's the fire we make it's getting hotter and hotter like a moth to a flame I can't stay away I look at my phone and it's roqueisha is a college student that's with a kid like me I answer the phone " hello" I said cheerfully what it is girl ?roqueisha laughs " nothing much ".
What time you coming over so I can do your hair "? I put the phone on speaker "um I was on my way now if you were ready for me ",Man boy if you don't get the damn door she yells to the background of her phone " well ok I will see you when you get here" ok girl dueces she sings into the phone .
I go upstairs because I hear a knock on the door, I look through the peephole and see a lightskin boy with a mini Afro I open the door and look at him he looks at me and says " your tamie right ?" Yes looks confused and "who the hell are you ?" I cross my arms , calm down I'm roqueishas cousin ricky , I just can to get a haircut because I heard you were good looks at me confused " I stand there and look at him for a minute , fine come on in I sit him down in a chair and put a smock around him and look at him so what you want me to do I brush his hair ; Well I want a high top curly fade can you do that he asks " yeah I got you I cut his hair and then turn him around to the mirror" you like " I smile at him " damn you got skills girl imma have to let my dudes know about you" he touches his hair and laughs. I thought roqueisha was coming over ? I question , he looks at me confused " she called you for me so I could get my haircut " oh well ok just call me when you need another cut" he looks at me " will do " he slides me some money and grabs my hand here you go shorty take care" I sit back in my chair and think about what just happened, I pull out the money and count five hundred dollars .
I stand up and put the money in my tip cabnet I think I have enough for my own shop 150 thousand that I been saving since I first started doing hair I guess it's really paid off . I guess it's true what they say another day another dollar.
