Father and I arrived at the airport to pick my mother up from her trip to Norway. I hadn't seen her in weeks, so I was more than excited to see her tonight. Father turned to me, and smiled. He knew that I was more excited than any of us, because my mother was my best friend. Yes, that kind of relationship with your parentsstill exist. I am one of example. Anyways, father and I ran closer to the exit, where the former passengers exited through to get outside in the city. My family and I lived in Houston, Texas. So imagine the traffic jam we're gonna get into once we leave this place. Especially now, since it's that time of month where all workers get paid, rush hour, and it's Friday night. Suddenly, a woman in her fourties, wearing a red zip-up jacket,  with jeans and sneakers, dragging behind an old Samsonite black rolling bag came through the door. Instantly, I ran to her and hugged her.

"Mom! I can't believe you're finally here!" I said, once I had a hold of her in my arms.

"Shaylee, honey, it's not like you haven't seen me in a lifetime!" She said, chuckling and patting my head with her hand.

"I know, but it's just not the same without you-- no offense, dad!"

"No offense taken." My dad smiled and walked to where my mom was standing. He kissed her in the lips, and then said, "I missed you, Emilia."

"I missed you too, Patrick." She told him. I released my mom from the hug, and then my dad grabbed her and hugged her.

When their embrace came to an end, the three of us left the airport and went to the car to drive home. Dad put my mom's suitcase on the trunk, and then we all got inside the car. Once in the car, dad started driving home. On the way home, mom said:

"So, how was your time without me?"

"Oh, it was fun. Shaylee and I made parties every night, and it was a non-stop party everyday. Right, Shayles?" Said my dad.

"That's true." I said. Mom turned around and looked at me as if she didn't believe it. Of course she doesn't. She knows me better than anybody on this whole world does. "Anyway, how was your trip?"

"It was incredible, I visited every place I could, while they gave us a break. Then, I went shopping for some souvenirs, and the lady at the store gave me something very interesting. It's this bracelet, that supposedly has the power to do something magical. I guess it is very important. It was the only one left in the whole store. Now, for you, darling..."

Mom kept telling us about her experience on Norway for her work conference, and telling us all about the souvenirs and adventures she lived. Then, we got home and we all went upstairs to help my mom unpack her stuff. Once done with that, she handed me a blue box with a dark green ribbon tied around it. I'm guessing it's the bracelet. I was about to untie the ribbon, when she said,

"Don't open it here!" I stopped dead. "The lady in the store said that 'the person whom this was given to, had to open it in his/her room, with all lights off and windows securely closed."

"Why? Is there a witch or elf living in here?" I turned the box to check out and see if there was some mythical creature living on a box. Obviously not.

"I don't think so, but still. I don't want you opening the box until you're in your room, with all lights turned off, and the windows securely closed. Understood?"

"Yes, mother."

"Good. Now, go to your room and open the surprise. I want to relax for a while. Goodnight honey."

"'night mom."

I hugged her once more, and then went to my room. I put the box in my bed, and then went to securely close all windows. Then, I turned off the lights, and then went to sit in my bed. I grabbed the box, and then pulled one of the ends on the ribbon. It was slowly untying itself, until it was just a loose knot. Then, I removed the ribbon from the box, and grabbed the lid and lifted it. Rays of light of different colors; red, blue, purple, pink, turquoise, all shone from the box. Once the lights dimmed, a note was revealed. It was on a shiny yellow paper, old looking, with a style of writing from the Reinassance. It read:

"Dear reader,

you've found the bracelet which holds the power to destroy all evil forces in the magical lands. Never take this off. For it will cause the evil forces to sprout once again, creating a terrible ending to the human race. It is said in the prophecy, that a young man with flying powers shall enter your window and take you to a magical land where a you will find a fairy who shall get you in trouble and therefore, an evil wizard shall find you and this is the man whom you shall destroy once you get the opportunity.

Bravery will be very important on this journey, as well as learning the magical powers this bracelet contains. Love will also be a key to destroying the master of evil forces, for True Love conquers all.

Farewell, and good luck in your journey."

Seems fair enough. But what did the letter mean by 'evil forces'? And 'a young man with flying powers'? Who will I be meeting? Peter Pan? C'mon, Shaylee. Peter Pan is English; this letter is from like, Reinassance Norway. Anyway, I put the paper aside, and then took the bracelet off the pillow it came around in. I put it on my wrist, and it looked amazing. Then, a ray of light shone on the bracelet, and now it was like it was stuck on my wrist. It was there forever. Then, I looked at the clock and it was already 10, like I told you there was major traffic, so we arrived home at 8:30. I went to my closet and changed into pajamas. It was a long and beautiful silk dress.

I went towards the window and admired the view of the city. All the city lights glowing, made the veiw beautiful. I watched it for a while, wishing everytime more to be able to fly. I want to fly through all the city and admire even more the lights and buildings. After a while, I went into my bed and went to sleep. I dreamt about everything. But, there was one dream that seemed strange:

I was running around this beautiful forest, and there was this nice rose arch a few feet away from a lake. Then, a young man grabbed my hand and led me to the arch. Somehow, I knew and trusted him. Then, the man pulled out a ring and asked me to marry him. I replied quickly, saying yes. He picked me up and kissed me. Then, lighting struck. The people present, that is some kind of small people and a few.... UNICORNS!? Okay, so there were unicorns and I guess elves and fairies and every type of cute, mythical creature. Anyways, suddenly, an old man covered in a black cape and a wolf walking behind him, walked towards the young man and me. I hid behind the young man, while he was telling me to calm down, that it was fine. He got this. Then, the old man took out his sword and the young man took out his. They started to sword-fight, until one of them fell. But it was neither of them. The wolf had bit me on my arm, and I was bleeding from the bite. The young man ran to me, and caressed my cheek. The feeling felt so real... too real.--

I opened my eyes, and saw an unrecognizible person's eyes staring down at me. But I didn't feel the weigth of this person anywhere, nor the bed or my body. Is it flying? Thinking about it... I couldn't even explain the feeling. So, scared, I screamed.
