Once we stopped hugging, we walked back to the cottage. There, Shaylee saw us coming, and then went outside to greet us.

“So? How’d it go?” She asked.

I looked back at my parents once, and then smiled at her; she instantly knew what I meant. She threw herself at me in a hug, and I hugged her back. Then, she went and hugged my parents one by one.

“This makes us a family now, huh?”

“Yes, a complete family.” I said.

“Not complete yet, son. What about the upcoming children?” My mom said.

“Katherine, you seriously want grandchildren now?” My dad asked her.

“Mason, they’re getting married soon; children should be in their plans… but coming to think of it, you guys are a little too young for that. Maybe sometime later, don’t you think?”

“It’s okay, mom. Even though we haven’t exactly discussed it yet, but maybe someday, later on, we’ll do it. We’ll see.” I said. My mom nodded.

“Well, we haven’t exactly seen the house yet, can you show us around?” She asked.

“Sure.” Shaylee said.

We stepped aside and let them come in through the door, and they saw the cottage inside. We led them through the small living room, the also small kitchen, and our bedroom; we also showed them the guest room.

“Well, it is a perfect house for two; quiet, peaceful, small, and it does have a sense of romance to it.” My mom said.

“It sure does.” I said.

We were sitting in the couch, after the tour around the house.

“So dad, what are you going to do once you get home?”

“Well, I am going to go in and ask Martha for divorce.”

“Okay; and you, mom?”

“I am going to tell Haux that I quit the job.”

“Nice.”

“Well, Shaylee, have you picked out your dress for the wedding, yet?” My mom asked her.

“Not yet, there’s still a lot to do for the wedding.”

“What are you missing?”

“Well, we have to make the guest list, have the location for the ceremony and reception, get the dress, have the flowers ready… nearly the whole wedding; except the date.”

“Wow, you guys have a lot to do. Do you want me to call in my wedding planner?” My dad asked.

“Wedding planner? When we got married, we just did the wedding ourselves.” My mom said.

“I know, Katherine, but the wedding planner I met by Martha and this person made our wedding.  I just want the best for Jonah.”

“And you think I don’t? I do too; but I think we don’t have to get this wedding into other people’s hands. We’ll make it ourselves; after all, Jonah said that ‘this isn’t Disneyland, for strangers to come here as they please.’”

“I did say that. So, what do you want Shaylee?” I said.

“You’re giving me the choice of who’s going to plan our wedding?” She asked me.

“Yeah. I trust you; you’re the bride here after all.”

“Thank you. Well, I do think we should do it ourselves; after all we can’t bring people here that we aren’t close to. And, I don’t think we will bring some stranger over here to plan our wedding, when this person knows nothing of this place. We know everything; we’ll all get it from here. We don’t have to go to Houston, New York, or Los Angeles for anything. It’s a local wedding, after all.”
