The third time you broke my heart we were thirteen and you kissed Missy Robertson on the lips while we were swimming at my house. I remember how I had left only for a minute to get something to drink, but when I came back everyone watched as you leaned in and quickly placed a peck on her lips. You both turned bright red and gave a shy smile to our friends surrounding us. I remember how I had dropped the glass that occupied my hands and how it felt as if I were suffocating, but I kept a straight face and forced myself to forget about the heartache.
You slept over that night and was so excited that she wanted to be your girlfriend, but when you fell asleep, I crawled into my mothers' arms and cried the whole night... The next morning when you asked why I wasn't in my room, I told you I got sick during the night... you believed me.
