Chapter 3

Khylee POV

No this is ugly, I thought as I raided my closet looking for something to wear tomorrow. See I had the worst time finding an outfit so I had to pick it out really early. I had the biggest clothes pile on the floor behind me and I was picking clothes out of this stack on my top shelf when Nicole came barging in. "Maaaan Khyleee I just seen the finest dude ever !" she yelled and plopped down on my bed. The stack of clothes fell off the shelf and I was underneath them on the floor. "Khyleeeee listen to meee" she said whining. I finally got up from under the clothes. "Nooo you don't have to help me , I like getting slapped in the face with clothes" I say sarcastically giving her a death glare. She looked at me trying not to laugh. "Ooo my bad khy" she said as she came to help me. "Now anyway , who you meet ?" I said pushing my clothes to the side in a pile. She plopped back on my bed and smiled. "Some really fine ass boy named Nate , he was arguing with his girl and I was being nosey and he started talking to me cause I forgot to turn on the damn phone while I was listening" she said laughing at herself. I laughed still picking out an outfit. "Only you would forget to turn in the phone Nic , worst eavesdropper ever man". I was throwing my clothes everywhere and I found it , the perfect outfit. "Oohh yess this is so cute " I said interrupting her rants about the boy. "What ? Why you looking for an outfit anyway , where you going ?" she asked raising her eyebrows. " Oh yeah I'm going to Lauren's party tomorrow with Trevor" . "Whaat and you weren't gonna ask me to come ? " she said crossing her arms over her chest glaring at me. "Duuh but you left so I was waiting till you got here" I reply shoving my clothes in the closet and closing the door. " And plus I was gonna ask Trevor to bring one of his friends but you can ask mister Nate ". I said wiggling my eyebrows and sitting on her lap. "Yeah yeah shutup" she remarked pushing me off. We were laying there talking and we were interrupted by a knock in the door. "Who is that?". Nicole asked as we both got up off the bed. "I don't know , I wasn't expecting Trevor tonight." we walked down the stairs and heard more knocking. I peeked through the peep hole and saw it was my mom and a tall boy behind her. "its mom" i said to nicole without looking at her .and swiftly opened the door and greeted them with a smile. "Hey ma". Me and nicole say together as she sits on the couch and i back away from the door. "Hey girls , this is Kyree , he's  your uncles's soon to be son in law, so meet your new cousin in law". She said smiling at him then looking at us. I looked over at the tall boy and observed him for a minute. He was a tall caramel skinned boy with a jawline that could split diamonds , he had a slim nose and plump lips. He was wearing an all white tank top and some basketball shorts. I slightly bit my lip at the sight of his lips and his muscular build. He was kinda sexy , but also my soon to be cousin. I finally looked back up to his face after basically drooling over his form and we locked eyes as soon as i looked up. A slight smirk appeared across his face . "Wassup  y'all". He said and looked back and forth from me and Nicole. "Hey , I'm Khylee" i spoke as i slightly waved and sat besides Nicole. " Hi , I'm Nicole" she said eyeing him too. He nodded at our greetings and looked over to my mom. I was sort of confused on why he was here though. I mean if he was gonna be my cousin he should be with my uncle and not us. "So not to sound rude or anything but what's he doing here ma?" I say furrowing my eyebrows. "Well his mom  and my brother are kind of going through a big moving stage and since he was moving out here anyway , he asked if he could stay with us for a few months or so." She answered sitting her keys and purse down on the vanity table. "Ooh okay thats cool ,  how old are you ?" I asked looking back towards him. "Im seventeen" he said looking up from his phone and setting down a big bag. "Oooh". Nicole said nudging me in the shoulder. I shot her a look of confusion. "Well Kyree , you'll be in the room upstairs to the left, and you'll be sharing a bathroom with khylee cause Nicole has her own." She said and started up the stairs , and he followed behind her giving us both a quick smile before disappearing up the stairs. "Why'd you nudge me for ?" I say sitting back and looking at her. "I seen how you were looking at him Khy , you're not slick". She said laughing. "Girl no , he's about to be our cousin that's really nasty" i said turning on the tv. She let out a small chuckle and watched tv with me. "You better be careful, cause he was watching you too, hard". She smiled before taking the remote and changing the channel.
