"Hi, this is November Emerald, could I please speak to Jake Michaels?"

"November who?!"

"November Emerald."

"The November Emerald?! As in, CEO of the Emerald Companys? That really hot chick?!", comes a frantic boyish voice.

I hesitate. Maybe I dialed wrong. And now there's a creepy stalker on the other end of the line.

"Um, yes?"

"Oh My God!" Boyish squealing. Great, I really am talking to a crazy stalker.

"JAKE! THERE'S SOMEONE FOR YOU ON THE PHONE."

Huh.

"Who is it?", a sexy male voice rings through the phone.

"Just answer it, Jake!" The boy on the line sighs and then I hear shuffling and then...

"Hello?"

This is him. Jake. Jake Michaels.

And he sounds incredibly hot.

I clear my throat. "Hi, my name's November Emerald and I need to talk to you, Jake.", I state in my business voice.

Silence.

"Um, you are talking to me.", he answers, amusement evident in his velvety voice.

Damn. Did I seriously just say that?

"Uh, yeah, sure. Um.. I meant, I need to talk to you, personally. When can you meet me for coffee?", I ask.

"Now, I guess? Is it urgent?"

"Pretty urgent." I probably sound like a needy girl or something.

"Okay, fine. Where?", he asks, sounding unsure.

" Starbucks, downtown?" I give him the address, we say goodbye and hang up.

Huh. I have no idea why I feel so nervous.

I don't even really remember how he looks. But if his voice has anything to say I'd say he's pretty freaking hot.

Damn. This isn't a date. It's just a business meeting.

Nervous. I feel so nervous.

Staring into the floor length mirror I glare at my outfit for the coffee date (business meeting)
with Jake.

I picked out a cream colored blouse, ripped boyfriend jeans, nude pumps, and a black blazer. I decide to put my hair up into a messy bun and keep the makeup light.

With one last glance in the mirror I grab my purse and rush out the door

Lou is waiting for me in the hallway, playing on her cellphone.
