"Hey," a voice greeted me as I entered school.

I looked around to see a kind smile beaming at me which I returned.

"Hey!"

Evan's smile deepened, revealing dimples and crinkling his chocolate eyes. He was a very attractive boy who also appeared to be quite sweet as he held the door open for me as we walked into the main building together.

"How are you, beautiful?" he asked, a glint in his eye.

I chuckled at the added compliment, "I'm good. How 'bout you?"

"Fantastic!" He grinned.

From the corner of my eye, I could see Eron lurking in the corner watching us and scowling.

Evan clearly spotted him too as his eyes darted from me to him. He suddenly looked uncertain.

"Hey. I was wondering of you wanted to hangout after school," he said nervously, rubbing the nape of his neck.

I considered this.

I could tell that Evan was a flirt and probably asked out every girl in school but, there was something about his relationship with Eron that I knew if I did in fact hang out with him after school, it would irk Eron. For some reason, that was something I wanted to do so, I nodded and gave him my best smile.

"Yes. I'd like that."

"Great!" He said, walking backwards, "I'll meet you by the front gates. Don't keep me waiting," he winked.

"I wouldn't dare."

With that, I walked into my form and took my sea besides Jen.

She raised an eyebrow at me, "Were you just talking to Evan fricking Peters?"

"Yup," I nodded.

"What did he want?" She questioned.

"He asked me out..." I admitted.

"He asked you out?" Jen exclaimed, earning a few dodgy looks from other people in class.

I hushed her, "It's not that big a deal."

"Evan fricking Peters! Have you not seen him? He's hot! Please tell me you said yes..."

I rolled my eyes at her, "I did but, I'm kind of wishing I didn't now..."

Jen's eyes snapped to the corner of the room, looking at Eron of course.

"Someone doesn't look impressed... Hey, how's the case going?"

"It's going... Eron's been..." I chose my words carefully, "useful... We found the guy on the CCTV but, to be honest, it doesn't seem like a Sherlock case just, general CSI."

"What do you define as a 'Sherlock case?'"

"Something weird and hard to explain. Everything has been too easy. It's stuff Scotland Yard should be able to do to be honest."

"Oh, look at you! Thinking you're all better than Scotland Yard now!" Jen laughed.

"That's not what I mean but... Will you stop looking at Eron?"

Jen's attention snapped back to me, jumping a little, "I wasn't!"

"You were!"

"What? Are you jealous?" Jen teased.

"Of course not! I have a date with Evan 'fricking' Peters. Why would I be jealous?"

Jen simply leaned back in her seat and gave me a dodgy look which implied she didn't believe me.
