Sunday 31st December / Monday 1st January
I had decided to make the best decision possible and leave the party the second I had the chance. Megan and Hannah had gone off the radar and I couldn't care less. Luckily my house was a 5 minute walk maximum from Connor's so the walk home was not too painful. Unfortunately my bomber jacket was far from warm against the freezing December winds, and I could barely walk given how much my legs were shivering. I was halfway home when I heard loud cries and whoops from behind me. Notting Hill had never been a particularly dodgy area, causing me to question why there was all this noise in the streets so late at night. My watch read 11:52pm. It hadn't even been that long since I had given my number to that guy. And it was nearly midnight. I carried on walking, and as I turned a corner the whoops and calls all suddenly grew louder. And then a group of 'lads' ran up behind me screaming "5 MINUTES TIL MIDNIGHHHHTT!" I rolled my eyes and laughed at how immature they were, until I looked at the group of guys and realised I knew most of them. They were guys from the boys school near my school, and at the back, who had suddenly turned around, was the guy who stole my book. I attempted to catch up to them and find out his name, but my ankles had frozen in my little boots and I was too cold. But what made my heart melt was this guy, seeing my failed attempt at catching up, walked behind and came up to me.
"Hey" he smiled. His arrogant and devilish ego from earlier completely disappeared.
"Hey there." I smiled back, my heart swelling.
From behind us the group of lads shouted again "TWO MINUTES TIL MIDNIGHT!!"
I turned to this guy and smiled. "So, I don't actually know your name."
"Oh my god. Sorry! That's so rude of me" he looked at me laughing.
I just looked at him expectingly. "Shall we just start again, before midnight?" I asked guarding my book with my life this time.
"Why not. Hey. I'm Brooklyn, and I promise to never steal your book and I also promise that I'm not usually like that." we both looked at each other and burst out laughing.
"Hey there Brooklyn. I'm Freya, and I promise to never leave you alone with my book." I smirked, smiling and winking
"TEN, NINE, EIGHT..." The chanting counting from the boys make my heart race and my whole body went numb.
"FIVE, FOUR..." I looked from Brooklyn's lips to his brown eyes and back again, more as a joke to myself, like in those romantic movies.
"TWO, ONNNNNEEEEE!!!!!"
"Happy New Year Freya." Brooklyn looked at my lips and leaned in, and in, and unconsciously, so did I.
In my head, as he kissed me, I said to him: "happy new year Broo-" but I stopped. Brooklyn... where had i heard that name before? Of Course. Brooklyn Beckham. Brown hair brown eyes. 6ft. I was kissing Brooklyn Beckham. All of a sudden I had forgotten how to breath, and I had to withdraw myself from Brooklyn Beckham's grasp and take a breath. Brooklyn Beckham's grasp. I was in the grasp of Brooklyn Beckham.

I looked at him once more, and there was no mistaking it. It was definitely him. But i also couldn't shake the smile from my face after his kiss.

"Let me walk you home?" He asked, sliding his arm around my waist. His eyes were too cute to say no to, but they were the eyes of David Beckham, and the hair of Victoria Beckham. But those eyes though. My heart was doing somersaults over and over in my chest.

"Why not, it's only a few minute's walk from here anyway." I smiled as we walked in the same direction we were going before midnight.

"OHHH BROOK'S GETTING SOME TONIGHT!" shouted the lads we had just walked past.

"Don't be so ridiculous guys." I laughed a little and smirked before walking off hand in hand with Brooklyn Beckham.
