Chapter 37

Jason's P.O.V.

I sighed as Ariana took her hand in mine pulling me up to her house I waited until she unlocked the door and we walked in shutting the door behind us.

"Mhm Thank God were home alone I-" as I spoke our attention turned to the door way off the kitchen seeing Ariana's mom, and dad stood there my mouth parted slightly as he stared at us in horror.

"Dad..." Ariana breathed out moving out of my arms, I looked back at her mom who looked panicked at us obviously not expecting me to be here.

"Ariana, why is this... Criminal in my house?" Her dad asked anger raising in his voice.

Ariana didn't answer, I wouldn't know what to say either.

"Answer me Ari!" He suddenly yelled, I placed my hand at the small of Ariana's back caressing her skin under her jumper trying to keep her from getting upset.

"Joshua... Relax" Her mom spoke up putting her hand on his shoulder he glared at me.

"Allow me to introduce myself sir" I said clearing the silence, he knit his eyebrows together as I stuck my hand out, "I'm Jason McCann, and I'm in love with your daughter sir"

He looked at me mortified, as I stood back putting my arm around Ariana as he rejected my hand shake.

"No" he muttered looking at the both of us "This is not going to be happening, never, I suggest you leave this house Mr McCann and leave my daughter alone" He ordered glaring at me with a stiff look.

"I'm afraid I can't do that sir... I am and will never be a threat to your daughter, if that's what your worried about-" he cut me off putting his hand up.

"Are you crazy! As long as your in her life, she'll be more then unsafe!" He yelled at me, I wasn't going to lose my temper, because I knew if I did anything I'd lose Ariana, forever.

"I think you should let us explain, I know this may be a shock to you, but I'm not what you think I am... What everyone thinks I am" I told him clearing my throat.

He looked back at her mom who stood looking down at the ground.

"Get this kid outta my house before I call the cops" He spat "But dad-" Ariana yelled after him but he didn't listen, he walked off upstairs and out of our sight.

I looked over at Ariana who turned around looking at me with tears in her eyes I sighed pulling her in to my arms, I ran my hand though her hair as I held her tight, hearing her cry against my chest I looked over at her mom who wiped her tear that fell, before looking over at us.

"I'll go speak to him... But Jason, right now is not the best time to be here, you understand that right?" She spoke, politely. I nodded, she gave me a small smile before walking upstairs.

"Hey, Princess, don't cry okay? We'll figure something out, I promise" I calmed her kissing her head, she pulled back wiping her eyes with her sweater sleeves.

"I knew this would happen..." I trailed off looking down at her hands.

"So did I... I didn't hope for him to find out this way, but at least he knows now, we will find a way to be together sweetheart, I'm not losing you" I muttered kissing her forehead.

"What if he won't let me see you? What am I going to do?" She said in a small voice covering her face with her hands.

"Listen, that's not going to happen, you are mine and I don't lose what is mine, okay?" I spoke pulling her closer to me.

She nodded looking up at me, I leaned forwards pressing my lips against hers, keeping them together I caressing her skin with my thumb before pulling back "I promise you, we'll figure something out" I said to her leaning my forehead against hers.

She nodded "I love you Jason" she said as a tear rolled down her cheek.

I wiped it away with my thumb "I love you so much more sweetheart" I whispered pressing my lips against her forehead in a long kiss, I pulled back, kissing the back off her hand with one last glance I walked away and left the house.

Running a hand through my hair I walked back to my car and got in before driving away.

With a cigarette in my hand, I sped down the road relaxing in my seat from the clouds of smoke that formed before wafting out the window, there was no way I was letting him stop me from seeing my girl, and I was making sure off that.
