I woke up to the smell of smoke. "What the..." I said as a man burst in though my doors. "Who the hell...." I said as I coughed. "HELLO.....IS ANYBODY THERE?" some guy said as I tried to speak. Nothing came out. "Hellp...." was all I could wispr out. "I don't think anyone else is in here." Some other guy said.

I took a walk forward, the floor creeked underneath me. "Go on boy, sniff." The guy that came in first said. "Hello.....I'm here....." I chocked out. How long had this fire been going on.

I heard a bark. The barks kept on going on as I fell to the floor. I looked around only to see the paws of a dog and the heard footsteps before I blacked out. "OH MY GOD. IS SHE OK! Check her pulse." A man said as I felt a warm hand on my neck. "Slow but steady. Get her out of here." Some other guy said.

It took a moment to reconsider the voice. It was my best friend. Craig. I never knew he was a firefighter. Then again I would have never let him. "Fucking hell. It's Y/N. She's gonna kill me...." I said as I smiled a bit. "Oh. My. God. THANK GOD YOUR ALIVE." HE yelled as I was embraced into a hug. "We've got you. Just hold on." He said as I slowly nodded.

I tightened my grip on the stronger man's shirt. He started running. I looked over his shoulder to see a the floor give out. "Dude the floor is falling. Get out of here. We can't go anywhere else." Craig said as we reached the stairs. "Come on. YELL IF YOUR HERE." Craig yelled as I heard a bark. "Our dog.....I'll be right back." Craig yelled as he went for their dog. "NO STOP!" I yelled as Craig continued into the house of flames and smoke.

The man continued to bring me down the fire exit. I heard a door open and close. The air was ok in here but hard to breath. "CRAIG!" The man yelled as his wakie made noises. "GET OUT, IT'S GONNA GIVE OUT!" He yelled as I heard us go faster. I saw some light but the smoke was to heavy and to thick to see. Turns out we where a floor to high. "Shit, are we gonna die?" I said as the man looked down. "No, and Craig is going to be ok..." He said as I felt the floor shake. "SHIT! RUN!" I yelled as we bolted to the stares, still no Craig.

"Where is..." I was cut off by rumbling. "What's going on?" I yelled. I saw people outside waiting and watching as our apartment complex stayed ablaze. "How did this happen?" I asked as we ran outside to the ambulance. "She must have been there a while, we fold her asleep on the 20th floor." The man to the doctor. "Get the stretcher." The doctor said as I was lifted into a stretcher.

As the strapped me to the stretcher. I blacked out.

I heard talking. "Sir, she hasn't woken up or responded to any of our tests. We should pull the plug." A man said. "NO! We will wait at least another month, please?" Another man said as I heard a sigh. "Fine. But just one mouth, it's already been 3." The first man said as I heard him walk out. "It's ok y/n. I got you. I'm sorry for not telling you. I just loved you to much to hurt you. I just wanted to pursue my dream of saving people and when I heard your apartment caught fire I rushed over, the first the respond. I thought that the floor was clear and you had made it outside. Then our dog barked, it was a sign that you where there. Panic had basically filled my body and I rushed over there.  But I didn't save you on time. And Evan, that guy that carried you out. He thinks you died in his arms. He basically quit! I got him to rejoin, but he has been recovering. Y/n, it's been 3 months, please wake up." I said as my hand got wet. I opened my eyes to look at my hand. But they didn't move. I twitched a little to get the water off. "Y/n??" He said as I tried harder to open my eyes. I had twitched more. "Oh y/n. I love you so much, I just want to kiss you, and hug you. Then marry you and have kids of our own. Y/n please wake up." He said as I used my last bit of strangth to open my eyes.

I saw the hospital lights shine. I lifted my hand to block it. I'm moving! Yes! Finally! "OH MY GOD! Y/N!!" Craig screamed as he hugged me. He then took my hand witch made me look at him. I smiled as he smiled.

But what shocked my the most. He leaned in and kissed me. Then he held both of my hands. "Y/n, will you be my girlfriend?" He said as a tear ran down my face. "Yes!" I said as we hugged. A nurse walked in. "Mr. Craig I'm sorry but we have to-" she stopped when she saw us. "Never mind. But I'll get the doctor." She said with a bug smile.

"Best, day ever." I said as he kissed me again.
