{Maleia's POV}
Never mind what happened yesterday, today it's Saturday! Jinx and I are going to an indoor surfing place to help little kids. That's how we earn money. My moms best friend owns the place so Jinx and I get a little extra money.
"Hey sport I heard you got detention... Again." My mom said.
"Yea." I put on my wetsuit.
"Just take it easy okay?" My moms eyes started tearing up.
"I don't think I'm the one who needs to take it easy. Are you okay? Where is Leo?" I ask hugging her.
"That messy old brother of yours is probably out with one of his girlfriends." My mom laughs rubbing her eyes.
"One?" I say.
"Yup." My mom says half way out my bedroom door.
"You didn't answer me." I cross my arms.
"I answered one of your questions."
"Mom?"
"It's nothing you should worry about."
A sign of worry came upon my mothers face. The door bell rang.
"That's Jinx. You need to go. Tell Kelly I said hi." My mom requests.
I pull my thick brown frizzy hair into a pony tail.
{Jinx's POV}
I can hear Maleia run down the stairs.
"Okay let's go." She says and races out of the house.
-after the 15 minute car ride-
We are at the Surf place. It's a big and loud place filled with dozens of people. As we check in Mrs. Kelly, the owner, drops by, "Hey you too, what's been going on."
"Nothing much." I reply.
Maleia gave Kelly a hand jester. Kelly nodded.
"Ok you two, head on in, break time is in 45 minutes." She gives us a thumbs up and we head on in.
It is really loud in here, we literally need to scream to hear each other. It gets obnoxious.
"Hey, Grant!" Maleia fist pumps one of our surf friends.
"Hey Mali." He replies.
"Wassup ginger." He says to me.
"The ceiling." I smirk.
"Funny." He says.
Maleia and I grab a boogie board to warm up with. As we glide on down the water jet I happen to see Mr. Anderson.
"Hey Em!" I yell.
"Yeah!" She replies.
"It's Mr. A!" I struggle to say since water got in my mouth.
"Great!" She throws her hands up and splashes them back down, forgetting there is water beneath us, she too gets some in her mouth.
She gets off the boogie board and gets a surf board.
"Hey MALEIA!" Kelly screams.
"Yeah!" She replies.
"You have someone!" Leading a little girl towards her.
As Maleia tries to teach the little girl how to boogie board I see Mr. A wiggle his fingers nonchalantly. I noticed that the little girl was struggling to get on the boogie board. What? Kelly spots him too and walks over to him. I walk outside and pretend to watch Maleia fail at teaching a girl.
"David what are you doing?" Kelly asks.
"Trying something." He says.
"You're trying my patience." Kelly says slapping his arm.
"Okay, okay, I'll leave, but can I have a word with miss nosy over hear." He says jumping out in front of me. I gasp.
"Hello Mr. A." I smile.
"Hello." He says.
I see Maleia motion me to come inside. I quickly run inside. My heart was beating so fast.
"You saved my butt." I sigh in relief.
"That's one you owe me." She laughs.
BREAK TIME!!
{Maleia's POV}
I let out a big sigh. I have had five kids and Jinx has had three! Lucky me! Jinx pulled put an apple from her snack bag. Dang it! I forgot a snack.
"You gonna eat that?" I point to the apple.
Jinx laugh then threw me the apple.
"Thanks." I chuckle.
When I finish the apple I grab a surf board and I go onto the water jet. It feels nice to have the water splash my feet and the air hit my body and face. A big loud boom shook the the ground which me loose my balance. Everyone rushed outside. I dried myself off and joined the others. Nothing was outside. A murmur came upon the crowd. What the heck?
