Chapter 2

**Cassandras POV** 

It was the fifth week into my Junior year. My friend Kylie and I was setting in the back of Ms. Danielsons class trying not to fall asleep. Biology was my least favorite subject. Finally the bell rung for lunch and Kylie and I went to go meet our friends. When I notice an unfamiliar face setting next to our friend Slim I set in front of this skinny blonde kid.

"Hey my name's Cassandra but you can call me Cass. What's your name?" She said with a smile on her face

He looked up and smiled "Colson. Colson Baker"

"Well its nice to meet you where did you move from" she asked.

"Denver" he answered

They talked all lunch period. When lunch ended they all went to their next class. When Cass walked in she seen Colson setting in the corner so she went to go set by him.

"Hey long time no see!" She joked

"Hey" He said shyly

"You know you can talk to me right I mean you did hang out with us today at lunch and we all liked you! So if you don't want to hangout with anyone else im here." She smiled

"Yeah that sounds cool its just it takes awhile for me to trust cause a lot has happened." he said.

"Well when ever you want to tell anyone about your past or just anything im here.... We can be Bestfriends!" she said excited.

He laughed "Yeah sounds like a plan "bestfriend"."

She smiled a huge grin at him with a pinky stuck out "Pinky Promise me that from this day forward no matter what happens we will always be there for eachother?"

He wraped his Pinky with hers shaking it. "Promise" he said.

**Colsons POV** 

She is such a sweet girl I don't think she's gonna be like everyone else in my past I might actually have a friend I could trust.... Hopefully. 

**Bell rings 

"Hey what's the rest of your classes"I asked her.

"Um... I have Mr. Hall for English then Mrs. Cunningham for home ec then my last hour I can just go home I job out." she said

"Well next I have math but after that I have home ec to and I job out." I said "Do you maybe wanna do something after school?" I asked

"Sure that sounds fun see you in home ec!" She said with a smile on her face.

*Home ec **Colsons POV** 

I walked in and seen Cass talking to one of the boys from lunch today I walked over to them and sat down.

"hey Colson" Cassandra said excitedly "You remember Dub from lunch right?"

"Yeah hey man" I said quietly

"Man you can't hang out with us and be as quite as you are especially if you gonna hang out with Cass" Dub said chuckling.

She hit dub in the arm saying "you can be as quite as you want don't listen to him"

We talked all hour I was really starting to warm up to them. 

**Bell rings

Cass runs up to me "are you ready to spend time with me?"

I laugh at her "Yeah are you ready to spend time with me that's the real question?"

We went and ate at the local diner then went to the park.
