~Amelia's POV~

A daze; I could feel the calming wind flowing past my neck and through my curly hair. I looked out over the rocky cliff I was standing on, looking at the stormy ocean waters below me, breathing in the crisp ocean air, the cold, bitter mist pushing over the cliff then onto me. Slowly, I began ignorantly inch my way towards the edge; about to let the wind grasp onto my life and take it away. Then  gave in. I fell over the edge off of the cliff, descending toward the abyss that would bring me closer and closer to my denouement. Falling at an alarming rate, I couldn't focus any longer. A voice calling my name; I was terror stricken, and was in a situation that does not come with hesitation. Amelia, it called with a deep tone ringing through out it Wake up.

I bolted upright, with a fast paced heart and ringing in my ears. "Amelia, I'm so sorry. I forgot that we have school today." Dan said hurriedly. " What time is it?" I asked rubbing the sleepiness out of my eyes,"It is..." Daniel's eyes met with the buzzing and ringing phone,"It is 5:45 AM." He read with a quiet, weary voice. I rolled out of the bed and walked to the bathroom. I could see the light shining from under the closed door, then I gingerly knocked, "Arthur," I let out a quiet cough from a scratchy throat,"Arthur, I have school today." Arthur opened the creaky door,"Did Dan leave last night?" He seemed concerned, yet I smiled a bit, because he remembered Dan's name,"What are you talking about? Dan slept here. He slept in my room on the futon. Trust me, I would know." Arthur furrowed his eyebrows,"I saw him leave around 2:30 this morning. He asked me not to mention it, then thanked me for letting him stay. He seemed normal, though I didn't see him take his rucksack with him. I suppose that was a bit suspicious." I was going to say something more, but decided I should ask Dan about it later. Arthur walked out of the bathroom, and I strolled past him and closed the door behind me. Horrid thoughts crept into my mind as I fixed my unkempt hair. He must have sneaked out early this morning. Where could he have gone? Is he seeing someone? At two in the morning? Isn't that strange, I don't understand any of this.

I continued to get ready, with lost hope, despite the fact that my head was overflowing with a massive amount of nonsense, which I could not decipher. I heard knocking at my door. "What." It was Dan. A confused Dan. I could only assume that he knew exactly why I was upset. But his response showed that he thought I was too tired to function properly. "Whoa, whoa, whoa. Are you okay? Somebody wooks a wittle sweepy." Daniel said whilst pinching my cheek and poking out his bottom lip. I looked at his perfection. Dark brown, wavy hair, deep blue, stormy eyes, taller, lean perfection. I could not remain angry toward something I was not positive was true or not. I felt humility clash into my brain, then I internally forgave him for whatever happened this morning. Reassuring thoughts finally running into my mind: Maybe he needed a breath of fresh air, or was too hot, and needed to cool down. Yeah, I like that idea. Nothing bad. "You caught me, I'm 'a wittle sweepy,' and I believe I am so 'sweepy'  that I can't go to school." I coughed again, because of my itching throat. Probably just my regular morning voice I thought grabbing Dan's hand, and leading him into the kitchen. "Just sit down here I will be back in one moment," I said holding up my index finger, "I will go ask if I can stay home." I comforted holding onto his shoulder, with a sobbing expression in my voice.
~Dan's POV~
Amelia seemed rather upset this morning, with a glum expression on her face. I could not tell what her problem was. Perhaps she is getting sick. I did hear her coughing a bit, and her I eyes were dreary I thought without lost hope. Since Amelia was not going to school that day , I did not either.

I miss the good ol' days. When a parent would stop me from skipping a day of school; from staying at a girl's house over night. I miss it... I really do... I saw Amelia walk out of her parent's room,"I am staying home today. Aren't you going to school today?"Amelia questioned."Nah, I will stay here with you. Summer break is in ten weeks anyway,"I insisted.  She gave a nod of approval, and walked toward her bedroom. I followed behind her and read my phone's clock aloud,"6:45. Good thing we aren't going to school today. The bus arrives in twenty minutes, "I advised.

When we arrived to her room I sat on the sofa, then she sat next to me. She looked deeply into my eyes -half asleep; as if she were peering into my soul. I felt vulnerable this way, but I did not mind when it was with her. "I really trust you Daniel. I hope you know that," She moved closer to me; hip to hip.  I wanted to kiss her then, but she was sick. Not that I cared whether she was sick or not. But the thought of her pushing me away from her made me feel unwanted. Thus, I did not kiss her. "Danny," she smiled. I smiled as well, because she had never called me Danny before. She put her arm around my lower back; hugging me, then rested her head upon my shoulder,"I know you might not like me the way that I like you," I smirked and nodded in disapproval. If only she knew I thought how much I love her. "but I need you to just- to just-" she stuttered," to just trust that I won't hurt your heart. I promise to be gentle to you, okay?" I suppose this was her way of telling me she loves me. "Okay, honey." I named her, since she called me Danny. "And Dan," she looked up at me,"I know that you left last night."
