Chapter 4- Hina

“Hey! Wait, you can stop now! There is no one behind us anymore!” Kensuke shouts.

The girl slows down and rests against a wall with relief.

“Are you ok?” Kensuke settles on the same wall as the girl to take a breather.

“I think so”

“Ok good, I’m glad… well I’ll be leaving now.” Kensuke sighs and walks away.

She looks at him for while and then without hesitation she bows towards him. “Thank you”

                Kensuke turns around and stares at her, “hey it’s ok, I didn’t do much anyways,” Kensuke responds as he puts his hand on the girls shoulder. —-“Hey get up, don’t thank me” The boy looks at the girl’s eyes as she looks up towards him. He then notices how her tear filled eyes shine through the darkness. He starts to get dazed by the look of the girl and thinks to himself. “Wow,  I didn’t pay much attention because of what was going on but man she is so cute… and beautiful.” Not noticing that his hand was moving from the girl’s shoulder to her cheek, the girl starts to blush a little and looks away.

“Hmm… hey are you ok?” she asks him.

“Huh… oh I’m sorry,” he reacts rapidly taking his hand off her cheek. “Hmm… sorry, so umm what do you think happened to that guy,” he turns the other way trying to change the subject.

“Huh? What other guy?” she questions him with a puzzled look.

“Never mind, I think I might have just been seeing things,” he said as he remembered his grocery bag was not with him. “Damn I dropped my bag, ugh paws is going to be so upset.”

“Bag?” she reacts to Kensuke’s statement.

“Yeah, I had my cats food in there,” he responds while looking back in the direction they came.

“Oh you have a cat?” The girl asks cheerfully. “Well since you are my hero I think I am bound to help you out.”

“No its ok, I didn’t do anything, the one that saved you was…” he paused as he noticed that behind the girl the gloomy young man was walking towards them.

“Don’t say anything about me and what you saw,” the man commands him as he gets closer, and looks at Kensuke with a menacing eyes. “I will explain everything later.”

“What is wrong?” the girl questions him noticing his half scared expression.

“Uh… nothing…”

“Ok… hmm what is your name?”

“Uh?”

“Your name… how can I invite you over to my house so that I can give you some of my cat’s extra canned food, if I don’t know your name…” she says with a cheerful smile.

“Invite me… to your house?” Her words make him forget about the man.

“Yeah!” she exclaims with a bigger smile. “ I mean that is the least I can do for you, you did save me back there.”

“Well like I told you already I didn’t…”

“Hey, just accept the invitation and I will explain everything at her house,” the man interrupts.

“Well?” she reminds him.

“Oh, sorry,” He shakes his head. “The name is Kensuke Ichi.”

“Ok! Hmm…” The girl thinks for a minute, “Alright Kenny let’s go,” she cheerfully reaches towards Kensuke’s hand.

“Kenny?” He thinks to himself then dazes off as he notices her hand in front of him.

“Hmm… oh sorry… my name is Hina, so now let’s go!” She grabs his hand almost instantly pulling him and running of.

“Hey wait… we just met…” he says as he trips trying to run in the same pace as Hina.

“Hehe silly,” she giggles, blushes a little and stops running.

“What is wrong with…” she turns to see him, “me wanting to…” she gets closer to him and he starts to get a little nervous, “inviting over…” right before finishing her sentence she gives him a gentle peck on his cheek, “My hero.”
