Sollux's pov-

I thought that they would demote me or something because I let the female go. I guess not. My ears pricked up when I was assigned the mertroll that we had just captured. Once the rest of them left I walked up the mertrolls glass.

"What2 your name?"
"Eridan Ampora."
"Well, a2 you know ii'm 2ollux captor. Look2 like we wiill be 2pendiing a lot of tiime together so how about we get to know each other?"

I got a simple ok back. I start to tell him about me terrible and crappy life. Once I was done Eridan started to talk about how his family was the second richest in the sea. He told me about his neglective father he had and-he started to cry at this point- the physical abuse that his brother did to him. I had to admit even my life isn't that bad. I tried to comfort him through the glass. It took a while but he finally calmed down.

I told him that I was going to get him some fish to eat. He just say there and nodded. The boat moved a little but not much. I grabbed a few fish and head back to the room where Ed is in. I turn the corner and find myself looking at a very weird seen. Eridan was just lying on the bottom of the tank. I ran to go get Kanaya. She grabbed her notebook and pen and ran fast. When I got to Ed's room Kanaya was just standing there. Aparently he was just asleep. Kanaya stayed around you document how Ed slept. Once he started to stir she finally left.

"Mm, hu, wwhat? Wwere am.... wwait..... oh...." I could hear the disappointment in his voice as he still hadn't seen me yet.
"Hey Ed!"
"Ed?"
"Yeah, well, II thought that would be a good nickname for you."
"Oh.... Ok then Sol."
"Now iim 2ol?"
"If I havve a nickname than you do to!"
"Ok then, Ed, II brought you 2ome fii2h. Hope you liike them." I dropped the fish into his tank and climbed back down the ladder. I sat in a chair on he opposite side of the room. He slowly grabbed one of the fish and started to nibble on it. A wave of surprise washed over his face. He was soon eating as much of the fish that would fit in his mouth. I couldn't help but laugh. Ed looked up at me with fish still in his mouth.

"Wwhy, are you, laughing?" He's so cute when he tries to talk with food in his mouth. (Wait, did I just think that! No, I'm cool.) I cough uncomfortably.
"II wa2 ju2t laughiing at you eatiing." Ed started to pout. 2o cute!
