18, back at hogwarts

>>BACK AT HOGWARTS<<

After the Burrow went up in flames I was more than ready to get back to Hogwarts already. We all help to rebuild it but it obviously didn't feel the same after the fire. The was something that crept up on all of us. A feeling of fear or that the burrow would be unsafe. I knew that I was safe from the threat that death eaters oppose, however my friends wasn't. And they didn't know that I was. 

We all bordered the train and sat down in a compartment in complete silence. The train roars to life and the whistle blows shortly after.
I should get to the Slytherins part of the train so I can find Draco and talk about what happened over the break.
I say goodbye to Hermione and the others and leave the compartment and go to the observation carriage at the back end of the train. Because I know there's only one person that would go in there, and just as I thought, I find Draco in there.

"Hey" I sigh.

"Hello" he smiles

I sit on the metal floor and rub my hands together. Draco sits down next to me and grabs one of my hands in his.

"Thanks,"

"for what?" He asks looking at me with eyebrows tied closely together in confusion

"For saving me back at the Burrow, I got a really angry howler from my mother later that week." I explain looking at our fingers tangled together.

"Selena, I'm sorry I didn't tell you earlier, but I was afraid of what you would say." He explains and looks down almost embarrassed

"It wouldn't have changed anything Draco. We're still getting married because that's what the Dark Lord has decided." I state.

Draco grabs my chin and he kisses me softly. Even though me and Draco have kissed each other in the past I still get a weird feeling doing it. Kissing the boy I once hated so badly. We break apart and I rest my forehead on his.

"Can I ask you something?" I say.

"What?" He questioned.

"Did you curse Katie Bell?" I ask.

"Yes. I did." Draco whispers.

"That package was meant for Dumbledore wasn't it?" I ask Draco. All he does is nod. I see the tears forming in his beautiful bluey grey eyes. And then they heavily fall towards his crotch. And with every single drop my heart breaks a little more.

"It's okay Draco." I whisper as I wrap my arms around him. And I can feel his tears dropping on my shoulder. We stay like that for a while before we head to the Slytherin part of the train.

We pull in at Hogwarts and make our way up to the castle. I hop on a carriage with Draco, Blaise Zambini and Vincent Goyle.

We go to the great hall. Me and Draco sit next to each other and throughout the entire dinner I have my hand on his thigh. Trying to help him keep it together and feel better. He just needs to know that he's not alone, I'm here for him no matter how hard it gets.

After dinner I make my way to the Slytherin common room and to go to bed. The second I get to my dorm I lay my head down and drift off to sleep.
