>> THE FIGHT BEGINS <<

We run down through the castle and battle a few death eaters as we approached the Great Hall. When we reach the bottom of the stairs we try to go out into the courtyard.
We start to run out, but Harry pushes us back so we avoid being cursed.

"Stupify!" He screams, nailing the death eater in the stomach. Once it's clear we continue moving.

"Hermione duck!" I scream as a curse flies over her head. I curse the death eater who tried to kill her as we continue running. We go to take shelter under the walkway, and we see Fenrir Greyback, sucking the blod out of Lavender Brown's dead body.

"No!" Hermione screams. Fenrir looks up and Hermione casts a spell that sends him flying through the concrete wall. Yes Lavender was really annoying before we left but she didn't deserve this. Nobody here does. I take one last look at her lifeless body before we sprint towards the bridge and I can see a big cloud of Dementors flying in our way.

"Oh no" I mutter to myself starting to panic.

Then I see a big bright light creating a shining wall between us and the Dementors. The Dementors fly right into it before they turn around and fly the opposite direction. At first I look over at Harry because I thought he had been the one to cause the light. But it wasn't. I look behind us and see Aberforth standing there sending all the Dementors away. I can't help the grin that appears on my face.

In all of this mess, he succeeds to bring out the light and brighten up the darkness.

We turn back around and keep running down the many stairs until we reach the boathouse. We quietly creep up on the side of the house, and hear Voldemort talking to Snape, about what I can only assume is the Elder Wand.

"You have performed extraordinary magic with this wand, my lord. In the last few hours alone." Snape compliments.

"No. No. I am extraordinary, but the wand resists me." Voldemort hisses.

"There is no wand more powerful. Olivander himself said it. Tonight, when the boy comes it will not fail you, I'm sure of it. It answers to you, and you only." Snape states.

"Does it?" Voldemort asks.

"My lord?" Snape asks obviously confused, so am I at this point.

"The wand, does it truly answer to me? You're a clever man, Severus. Surely you must know. Where does its true loyalty lie?" Voldemort asks.

"With you. Of course, my lord." Snape answers.

"The Elder Wand cannot serve me properly, because I am not its true master. The Elder Wand belongs to the wizard who killed it's last owner. You killed Dumbledore, Severus. While you live, the Elder Wand cannot truly be mine. You've been a good and faithful servant, Severus. But only I can live forever." Voldemort explains.

"My lord." Snape begs. Suddenly bolder pet uses the Elder Wand to slash Snape's throat. I hide my face in Harry's chest to keep myself from screaming.

"Nagini, kill."

Voldemort compels Nagini to repeatedly bite Snape. I watch in horror as the snake sinks its fangs into Snape. Over and over again it bites him. Voldemort grins as he watches the pain Snape endures. Voldemort is truly the most evil, foul, and pathetic person to ever walk this earth. I feel the tears gushing down my face as I listen to Nagini bite into Snape's flesh.

After awhile of what could only be described as pure torture. Voldemort disapperates with Nagini, and I rush inside, the others stumbling in behind me.
The scene that comes into sight to meet my eyes in that boathouse is something that was burned into my brain and I know I will never forget this moment. Seeing Snape my favourite teacher and a man who has helped me and my fiancé extremely the last couple of years. Has thigh red blood running down from his neck that's full of the snake bites that Nagini gave him. Blood is gushing out and smearing over his entire body. It has created a utterly horrific pool on the floor.
The sadness in his eyes whilst watching Harry trying to stop the bleeding, even though he knows it's to no good. It's heartbreaking.

In shock I subconsciously walk backwards until I hit the wall and I sink down to the floor, pulling my legs up to my chest. My sobbing is making it hard to breath. I can see that Harry and Snape are trying to have a conversation but I can't hear anything. I'm too occupied with the stinging tears running down my face. They feel so heavy when then land in my lap and I wonder how I have been able to carry them with me for so long? Instead of letting them fall freely.
Snape's seconds has been counted and sooner than later his pupils widens, his chest stops rising and falling and the Snape we knew is gone, forever.

Harry stands up after awhile and walks towards the lake water, there he cleans his hands from Snape's blood. Hermione stands in front of me and pulls me up from the floor. We walk out of the boathouse, leaving Snape behind us.

"Where to now?" Ron asks but before Harry can answer Voldemort amplifies his voice so that everyone can hear him.

"You have fought valiantly but in vain. I do not wish this. Every drop of magical blood spilt is a terrible waste. I, therefore, command my forces to retreat. In their absence, dispose of your dead in dignity. Harry Potter, I now speak directly to you. On this night you have allowed your friends die for you rather than face me yourself. There is no greater dishonour. Join me in the Forbidden Forest and confront your fate. If you do not do this, I shall kill every last man, woman and child who tries to conceal you from me." He explains.

We take a quick glance at each other before we start running back up to the castle. When we walk into the battle area its empty.

"Where is everyone?" Hermione asks. We walk inside the castle and into the Great Hall.

"Who are they standing around?" Ron asks while pointing to his family. We walk up to them and see Fred's lifeless body laying on the floor. I cover my mouth to keep from screaming. I can feel the tears welling up in my eyes once again, falling over the edge, rushing down my cheeks. This is our Fred. This can't be true. This is my Fred and... George. I look up towards him. There's nothing in the world that could fix this. It's like a piece of him is gone but the one who usually pick up the broken pieces is the one we're losing.

I can't take this anymore, it's to much. As I turn around I see Draco running inside the hall, he sees me and starts running to me. I sprint towards him as well and we meet halfway. I let Draco wrap his strong arms around me and I just sob into his neck trying to calm myself down. Draco doesn't asks any stupid questions. He just rubs my back and kisses the top of my head trying to sooth me.

"He's gone. Fred. He's dead." I cry.
