"Time flies and we run, like we always do, me and him, my lover, my sweetie, my husband, my Doctor. We run and we never stop. In a new place, in a new year. The angels are following us"

"Wait a minute Sam! Angels?" Dean asked while driving the Impala into the night.

"What's the matter?" Sam stopped reading, closed the book and smiled. He liked it when Dean asked him about some book he was reading. Because in those moments he can talk about them, like a normal person with a normal life.

"Angels? Why are you reading a book about angels? Aren't you tired of them?"

"These are different, Dean! They're statues of angels that take you into the past and she is running away from them with the Doctor."

"What Doctor? Doesn't he have a name? Doctor of what?"

"Just Doctor. He is a timelord..."

"Oh, I see. A douchebag."

Sam laughed and continued reading the book while Dean made a few jokes about it.

"We run to a building, eyes always opened, we can't close them or the angels catch us. My Doctor says that everything is going to be fine and I believe. I kiss him again..."

"Oh stop it Sam! This is awkward! Anyway, what is the name of this book and why you bought that?"

"I don't buy this book..."

Dean looked to his brother with an expression that Sam soon knew what his brother was thinking.

"I didn't steal it! It was on the top of your car, Dean!"

"Someone left a book on the top of my car? Why?"

"I don't know. Do you think that it's something bad? Like what? Crowley? I mean, it's just a normal book." Sam tried to find some symbol or something written between the pages but nothing. No date or signature, no strange symbol about angels or demons. Everything in the book was normal.

"And talks about angels dude! And a crazy woman in love with a douchebag without name, just Doctor. What is the name of the book?"

"The Angels Kiss, by Melody Malone."

"See? Why someone would write a book about angels kissing? Well, a movie, maybe... You know, girls with wings and..."

"Dude!" Sam looked to Dean with an expression of disgusted.

"What I'm trying to say is that everything that happens in our life is suspicious you know? All the things that appear seem to have repercussions. And you found this book about angels in the top of my car... I don't like Sam."

"Okay Dean, I will throw it out the window" he looked to the book one more time before do what he said "Happy?"

Dean wasn't happy, not at all. He knew that even without the book something would happen. And of course, for him, nothing with angels would be good. They continued their journey in peace with some old music choosen by Dean because the "driver picks the music, shotgun shuts his cake hole" like he always said to his brother.

They arrived to a motel because Dean needed the four hours of sleeping.

The next day - 7:05 am.

Sam woke up with his phone ringing, it was the alarm. With his eyes closed he tried to find the phone but all he could find was one book. That was strange, he didn't have a book on the table last night, he opened one eye and beside his bed was Dean, in pajama with messy hair and looking to the book.

"Sammy, it's the same damn book. Did you not said that you threw it away of the window?"

"And I did that! How is this even possible?" Now Sam was one hundred percent woken up sitting in his bed, looking to the book like his brother.

"I told you Sam! You never listen me! This is bad, I'm feeling that! I need... Sammy, I need my breakfast to think better about this. Then we call Cas!" Sam took the book to the coffee in front of the motel.

Dean asked the normal breakfast for him: two eggs, lots of bacon and French toasts, Sam just asked a simple black coffee.

"Last night I had this strange dream. I was in a machine, really weird because that machine was bigger..."

"On the inside?"

"Sammy, is another one of those Tuesdays?"

"It's the book Dean! The Doctor have one machine bigger on the inside."

"But you didn't said that yesterday when you was reading in the car."

"Because I read about it in the afternoon when you was sleeping, you didn't know about the blue box. How you dreamed about it?"

"You know what? I lost my appetite. Let's go to the room, investigate that book and call Cas." Dean paid the food and the coffee and both ran to the motel.

He prayed to Cas but he never appeared. Three hours later and Sam hadn't found anything, just some people talking about how good the book was and how they wanted a man like the Doctor what made Dean almost puke. Tired of not find anything, he went to the window and then he saw it, a statue of an angel on the other side of the street looking at him.

"Sam? The book is about statues of angels, right?"

"Hum... yes. Why?"

"I found one!" Sam got up and went to the window.

His brother was right, a statue of an angel was looking at them and he was pretty sure that the angel wasn't there that morning.

"Dean? What we do?"

"Run!"

They both turned with his guns raised to find a woman with big hair, strange clothes and an awkward bracelet.

"Who are you?"

"You know me, both know me. You read my book Sam. I'm River Song but maybe Melody Malone make more sense for both, I'm the author of that book but now it doesn't matter, you shouldn't take your eyes from the angel. Now Sam and Dean, run with me!"
