Chapter 3 - Their Troubles

Lazire's POV

"Alright, looks like you're going to Vinteye."

The one Sager called Laon Xial began speaking.

"Warm bloods " Everyone in the hut opened their eyes and looked at him. " will go dig the ship out of the ice. Cold bloods shall get the Sofuf blood you need. But Sager, stay with Lazire, we can't have a surprise attack from them."

He then walked towards a corner and began meditating. I noticed he had a semi bright green tint to his skin. What does that make him a warm blood or a cold blood?

His crooked horns seemed almost dull and one looked cracked. He had scars everywhere and one straight across his forehead. I see why they go to him for help, he must have survived a lot. And yet still breathing, amazing.

He looked so old, but yet still has all this information. They spoke of horrible things the Lyons did, I knew they had a lab but I didn't know about this. How long had it been going on? Had anyone before him escaped?

"Wait here, you two must be hungry." Sager commanded.

Sager sped off into another hut and pulled out some sort of meat. She quickly came back over and handed it to me.

"Wait if Sofufs blood can be used as fuel wouldn't this kill me!" I realized.

"Relax it's Qwul not Sofuf, plus Vahlrues are immune to it doesn't mean you are, but we could've gave you Dior meat." Sager answered.

"Dior meat?" I asked

"They have acid blood and eat space trash."

"Oh.." Frice said barely audible.

I decided that this information would be useless if I was going to another planet the acid blood and space trash was also uncomfortable to think about so I decided to eat this "Qwul meat."

It was surprisingly good compared to the plant roots on Lyonix. Frice hesitated a bit and inspected the meat. I wouldn't blame her she has some trust issues due to her past.

I finished my qwul meat and decided I was going to try and help the warm bloods dig out the ship. Frice stayed in the warm blood temple with Sager to keep warm and also to be safe from the Sofufs. At least that was my guess

There was some ice around the ship that had melted. Some were digging at the ice while others meditated to summon all heat to melt the ice.

I carefully went over and tried not to alert anyone of my presence. It looked as if they had enough help plus i dont know them and I'm not very social unless I have to be so I left them to it. I went to see the cold bloods fighting the Sofufs.

There was multiple colors covering the ice. Blue, purple, black, light blue, turquoise. Some were using their horns and stabbing them. Others were practically pulling them apart, this was not many. Most were using carved ice and throwing them at the Sofufs. I felt bad for them it's was a little bit my fault they had to fight them in the first place. No its not you didn't create Sofufs. But i can help them when i get to Vinteye.

A few more minutes of slaughter passed and the Vahlrues began retreating with several dead Sofufs along with hurt Vahlrues and leading them to the center of the camp.

I went back to the warm blood temple and told Frice and Sager.

"I think they have enough Sofufs, I'm also sure the Warm bloods are almost finished digging the ship out. I'm sorry we had to bring all this trouble on you. I saw how many got injured because of us."

"Don't feel to bad you encouraged them to fight the Sofufs and knock down the sofuf population. It's good to know we might be leaving this planet soon." Sager enlightened "come with me." She added to me and Frice.

Me and Frice followed Sager to the center of the camp. I could see the cold bloods sitting around trying to help heal the wounded. Others carrying Sofufs had made a pile over to the side. It wasn't that tall but you could see about seven or eight. I looked out to the distance and saw where the fighting took place. It was so dark over there.

No wonder why they send cold bloods over there, it must be even more freezing than here.

I tried to see if there was anything else but couldn't see over so many ice mountains.

I was lifted from my thoughts over the noise of the warm bloods returning. They stood a fair distance from the cold bloods. I wondered why they couldn't be near cold bloods.

Is it because cold bloods can't stand heat? Or do the cold bloods generate the cold? So far I haven't felt any chills from Sager?

"We have finished melting the craft from the ice." One of them informed.

"Does anyone know how to extract the blood into the ship?" I asked.

"I did not see how, but there has to be a way. There's always a way." Laon Xial began and then asked "did you see any way to do so."

I heard Frice mumble something but I knew it was never going to be audible.

"No I don't think so. It happened all to quickly. Everything transformed and then we crashed." I spoke for Frice.

"Well Crylight, take Sager with you to inspect anything that can be used."

Sager and someone with horns that curled at the top and had a light blue tint to her skin walked towards the ship. They looked at it very confused. I didn't think they knew how to use it so. I ran over to them and pressed a red button on the side I assumed was the open button for the door. Anyways that's how our rooms were like on Lyonix.

As I assumed the door opened, though not as I expected. The door rose and knocked me backwards. Sager and the other girl I assumed was Crylight were standing to the side so they weren't hit.

I helped them look around the ship.

I looked at one side where two connected seats sat on the wall.

"I think I found something!" Sager announced.

I went over got the other side of the ship where some sort of contraption was.

"It lookS like a shot thing. If I remember correctly this can eject liquid and then inject it into something else, these can be used for many things. Poison, medicine, really anything." Sager informed. Then she looked upset for a moment. "This is what they used to change us!" She said angrily.

She then looked at me suspiciously.

"What if, you've been lying. What if your trying to killers off! You could have chemicals anywhere!" She accused.

This is just one of the worst things that could happen they could actually kill me and Frice if they wanted to. This is going to make everything alot harder.

"Sager!" Crylight scolded. "You know what Laon said about your enraged side!"

"Yeah I know, wait until a couple more days and it should be mostly gone." Sager looked slightly upset with herself and still slightly enraged.

Me and Crylight grabbed the devices and Sager trailed behind us looking ashamed.

Crylight walked up to Laon Xial and showed him the device.

"We found it inside."

"I may know of how we can use this."

I am happy that I finally finished this chapter. I actually already have the entire book planned but somewhere near the next couple chapters is kinda what I'm a little mixed up on but don't worry I will be updating soon.

I did meet the chapter goal! Yay!
