Alexxia sat on the bed, sobbing her green eyes out. I felt as the imaginary friend of the thirteen year old that I should be comforting the girl, but I just decided to stand there, with my eyes wide. I had an uncomfortable feeling in my stomach. I knew it all too well. I've watched this girl grow up since she was old enough to know what a friend even is.

I've been there for Alexxia since the young age of three. From the times that she stubbed her toe on the couch at four years old, to the times she won spelling bees in third grade, to the time she broke her arm in fifth grade trying a back walkover in gymnastics.

I remember that day like it was yesterday, I encouraged her to do it, and that is why I felt that it was my fault. I'd never felt that guilty in my thirteen years of being her imaginary friend. The tears that ran down the former eleven year olds face broke my heart. I wished that I could take away her pain. After all, I was her best friend at the time, and I would have taken away her pain in an instance. I've talked her through everything, but this problem was very unfamiliar to me. I, Talia King, an imaginary friend, for the first time, do not know what to do.

Alexxia has just suffered her first breakup. I shake my head, I never liked Noah Jones anyways. His nose was crooked, and his raven black hair was ALWAYS messy. I've always been by her side, whether she wanted me there or not. Being a teenager, Alexxia now was best friends with everyone in the school. They acted like it was a contest, who ever had the most friends, was the most popular. Now, she never counted me as a friend. She was popular. Everyday, Alexxia would go through her usual makeup routine. I would always tell her that she didn't need it, that she was naturally beautiful, but society these days taught her otherwise. Society told her that she had to curl her hair and put on makeup to be pretty. I wanted to teach her otherwise, but being a teenager, she called me fake and didn't want to listen.

Alexxia was actually a very pretty thirteen year old. She has been compared to Kylie Jenner, multiple times, and if that makes her happy, I guess I'm okay with it. She had long black hair that grew down to her lower back. She had light green eyes, the color of freshly mowed grass. She had quirky freckles scattered around her face, this made her unique. However, the stubborn teenager decided to cover up her imperfections with concealer that matched her skin tone. Her skin was a golden tan, which was the aftermath of spending her time at the beach all summer. I didn't mind following around though, (especially on dates).

The dramatic teenager continued to cry, I put my hand on her shoulder, she looks up at me, and scowls.

"GO AWAY!" she shrieks. I frown, a tear slips down my cheek. I disappear into a dark corner in her room. I feel a tickling feeling in my stomach, a shiver runs up my spine as I recognize the strange feeling. I look around, and shake my head.

"No, not now, not yet." I whisper. More tears streak my damp face. I quickly wipe them, as my misty arms disappear like a vapor. I sob, and Alexxia looks up at me. She shakes her head, and jumps off the bed.

"No! Not yet! You've always been there for me, please don't go! I need you here, I'm still a kid! Don't leave me! Talia!" She pleads, as I sink into the dark abyss. She may have grown up, but I will forever stay in her heart.
