The Move

I jump back to the big moving truck once more to grab the last box of my stuff and take it up into my new house. I've been going back and forth between my two parents houses for the past 10 years and its been really hard for me so it should be nice to finally settle in one space.

My name is Avril. I am 16 years old, a junior in high school. I am just finishing my move to my dad's house in Belleville, New Jersey. I have been coming here every summer for the last ten years so I am pretty familiar with the town at this point. Though I only really made a few friends, through the summer job I had. I found its really hard to meet people when you are only here 3 months of the year, people tend to just forget about you when you leave. Its really fine with me though, I never have been the really emotional one.

Typically, throughout the school years, I live with my mom. I love her, and I wish I could have stayed just to finish high school, but recently I broke up with my boyfriend back there. He did not take it well, and I've gotten lots of shit at school from his friend, to the point of me not wanting to even go. I started skipping, which is very out of character for me.

I am hoping that coming to live with my dad will be a great fresh start for me. No time since to lose since tomorrow is the first day of my new school.
