*BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP*
My obnoxious alarm clock goes off. I look over, its 7:00 am. I quickly hit the snooze button, and lay still in my bed. As I stare at the ceiling I realize how nervous I am to start over. I know this is the right thing for me to do but I can't help but think about how hard it was for me at my old high school. I decide to get up and get ready. I eat some breakfast and grab my car keys and go. I parked my car in the lot, and headed into the building. I was a little bit early, so i took a seat in the cafeteria until the bell rang for classes to start.
"Um, excuse me who are you?" I heard a girl say in a bitchy voice.
"What?" I responded.
"You're sitting at our table" the girls told me. They were all dressed in preppy pink sweaters and short skirts. I gave them a look that said "Are you serious right now." But decided to just avoid trouble. I sighed and walked away. The blonde girl stuck her nose up at me as I walked away. I decided to check my schedule and figure out where all of my classes were.
As I was looking down, I ran into a boy.
"Oh, I'm sorry." I said, he just gave me a half smile and kept walking. He had black hair and a neck tattoo. The bell rung a minute later, and I headed through my classes. One by one they went well, I kept quiet and usually sat towards the back, until I become more familiar with everyone. Once lunch came around, I decided to sit outside. It was so nice out, and I didn't have anyone to sit with inside. I looked over my schedule once more. All I had left today was english and science. I was excited about that, I was pretty good at science. I actually want to become a doctor one day.
As I was looking at the paper, a huge gust of wind came and the paper flew out of my hand... right into the lap of the boy I ran into earlier today. I walked over to him, "Thank you." I said. Again he said nothing, but this time he gave me a real smile. Almost as if he thought it was funny I kept tripping up around him. I took my paper and went back to my bench to finish eating.
Once the bell rang I walked to my next class: English. I walked into the classroom and took a seat. When the class started the teacher explained that we will be starting a project and will need to choose a partner. I hated doing projects like that because I didn't know anybody in the class, trying to pick someone to work with is just uncomfortable. I looked down at my hands while everyone was picking partners. Out of the corner of my eye I saw someone walk up to my desk. It was the boy I was running into all day.
"Hi, my name is Frank, I assumed since we've been running into each other all day I would introduce myself." He said.
"Oh, Hi." I responded. "My name is Avril."
"Do you want to be partners for this project?" He asked.
"Yeah, sure." I said.
"So are you new here?" He asked. "I haven't seen you here until this year."
"Yeah, new to the school. Not really to the town, my dad-" I got cut off, as the bell started ringing.
"Okay, well do you want to exchange addresses and meet up later to work on this?" He asked.
"Yeah, that sounds good." I told him. We then went our separate ways.

Okay, sorry for such a long filler, I promise it will get interesting soon! I just cannot stand stories that just jump into it with no character development. Hang with me!
