Now I remember everything I read in my mother's diaries, I remember everything Moira said to me. About Purgatory, about heaven and hell, about ghosts and demons.

Light footsteps sounded behind me and then Dabria stepped in my view.

Her blond hair was down to her waist, she was wearing the same clothes.

Her face was a mask and at any given moment I have no idea what she is thinking. But as soon as she locked eyes on me, I knew she was surprised.

My heart hit a faster cadence. I tried to wrestle my thoughts together, but all I could think was, if I can really do this.

„How have you been?“ Dabria asked me with a smile.

„What are you doing here?“ My eyes turned even more watchful.

„I just waned to see you again. I've been trying for a long time, but your security, well... you know. You are really special to him.“ she said looking at Nybbas. „But you know that.“

I didn't answer.

„Coming here was a bad idea.“ she continued.

„Tell me something I don't know.“

„I know how you can go home from here.“

She smiled at me, but I didn't return the smile.

„What's the catch?“

„There is no catch. You can save your father and your boyfriend.“

„How?“

„Use your power.“

I swallowed hard.

„But there's a warning. If you use too much of your powers at once, it could kill you. Do you know how much would it take to save three souls from here?“

„All of it.“ I answered.

Everyone wants to be a hero. Everybody thinks that when their moment comes, they will know exactly what to do. But not everyone does and you will never know until you are tested. Because when your only family is in trouble, you don't think. You trust the instinct.
