My hips swayed with my excitement as I headed towards the car until I realized none of the boys were following me.
"We're going somewhere, right?" I asked them with a smile while they looked at me with confused faces.
Garrett and Seth unleached grins of pure adorableness at my question while Jet kept to his stone cold face, which made me frown slightly. I mean, he didn't have to be the downer of the group. Maybe he feels like I'm stealing his best friends? Isn't there a bro code for this? No, wait I'm thinking about the one for girlfriends...
A squeak bubbled out of my lips when my feet lost contact with the ground and immediately I wrapped my arms around someone's neck before leaning into the warmth radiating off of his body on instinct.
Boyish laughter sounded all around me and a slight vibration was felt on my head. I looked behind me to see Garrett and Seth laughing. To confirm my suspicion, my eyes traveled up to meet his chocolate brown ones. My cheeks felt warmer, but I wasn't concerned about them teasing me for blushing considering the fact I had a natural tan. Blushing just doesn't show.
My tummy was being grazed lightly by delicate paper-like wings, sending chills to my skin when I saw his eyes twinkle with amusement, a small smile playing at his smooth pink lips, that showed some of his pearly white and straight teeth as well as the dimple on his left cheek, which looked a lot cuter than the dimples on both my cheeks.
Time felt as if it stopped as I took in his features that I've never noticed before. I'd used to ignore everyone, but study them at the same time in case I had to be partnered with them for any type of project, I've noticed a thing or two about Seth and Garrett, but I've never been interested in Jet. I've always figured I wouldn't have to be within a meter radius of him, much less in his arms.
"Do you carry every girl you see in your arms?" I asked him with annoyance, but I probably still looked at him with a dazed expression.
His innocent smile turned into a smirk as he whispered into my face, fanning it with his warm breath that smelt of cool mint, "If I did, I would have carried you a long time ago."
Was that an insult? That he'd be carrying a different girl right now instead of something by likes of me?
Irritation flooded through my veins. Why did he have to be a jerk? I honestly thought he was cute just a second ago, what the hell is wrong with me? Players aren't cute.
I struggled to get out of his arms this time, but I did none the less. I playfully booty bumped Garrett out of my way with a smile when he over dramatically fake gasped at me and hopped in the car while grabbing Seth's hand before pulling him in.
Honestly, I'd rather sit next to Seth out of the other boys. After taking off my book bag and putting it on the floor, I leaned over Seth.
"Let's go!" I shouted over Seth before sitting properly in my seat to poke the man who looked to be in his mid-twenties that was sitting in the driver's seat, "Hello."
He looked at me with his confused brown eyes, "Hello ma'am w-"
I cut him off immediately, "Nu-uh, it's MadelineKate, or any half of my name you want to use, to you sir."
"You really don't have to call me sir ma'am-uh, Madeline," he said politely.
"Can I know your name then?"
"Thomas."
"Well then Tom, can I call you Tom?" He just smiled at me, "Can you please take us to the mall furthest from this area, but still in town?"
