Jet Parker

"I'm done! Fine! you're right," I shouted at them. My body felt heated and I was ready to break something, but I don't want to scare MadelineKate.

Wait a minute.

"Where's MadelineKate?" My eyes met the guys' and they had asked the same question.

My hand flew to my hair while I mentally beat myself up about losing her.

She's not yours. My conscience noted.

I never said she was.

She's not an object either.

I need a new brain.

How could I be thinking about myself when the nicest, shy- is she even really shy? What do I even know about her? Everything I know is a lie except for the fact she's smart.

"Where the hell could she have gone? We couldn't have lost her!" My head was ready to explode, how could I have lost her before I even had her?

That girl's like fucking air.

A couple slaps on my back from the guys got my attention.

"Stop daydreaming! It was my idea to invite her to lunch, but no, you had to make it a big ol' scene of carrying her away in your arms before fucking kidnapping her and now she's run away!" Seth scolded.

"Let's call her. She has a phone," My voice sounded desperate. When was the last time I was desperate?

I got smacked by Garrett on the back of the head, but before I could hit him back he spat words into my face, "We don't have her number. Hell, she doesn't even have her phone! It's in her bag, which is in the car."

Garrett's never been the one who got pissed, but when he did it's like watching a the cutest, most innocent baby in the world grow up to be a thug or a drug lord or worse.

"How the hell did we lose her? She was so hyper and the one time she was quiet," Seth took a deep breath to calm down, but I knew he was still stressed.

A feeling of monkeys tightening knots with my organs settled in and my nerves were all over the place. This is all my fault. What if- Stop. I don't know what I'd do if I thought of the worst case scenario.

"She's got to still be in the area," Garrett screamed suddenly, "Think about it! She doesn't have her phone or money on her, her bag's in the car. So she couldn't have gotten far on foot."

Seth clapped his hands once and got our attention, "Wasn't she excited to go to the mall?"

"Well come one, then!" I said running towards the entrance with the guys behind me, "How big could this mall be? It's tiny compared to the ones in our area! It's in the lower class community... No offense to them-"

I stopped running when we got under an opening in the roof where we were able to see three stories above and two stories below us. Looking left and right it seemed as if it were a street in Amsterdam, but with gray, white and black bricks rather than red maroon ones.

"Holy shit," Garrett started to talk, but shut up instantly when a little kid ran by him and took another look around, "How the hel-," a mother and her baby walked passed us and went toward the exit, "How are we going to find one girl in this mall? It looked freaking tiny when we came in, but with a large parking lot!"

A small tug on my blazer sleeve made me look down at the small child staring up at me. The boy looked at me with a questioning gaze as a slight frown took over his gaze and small forehead wrinkles were created with his smooth pale skin.
