((Yes. I did put that in the title. Don't judge. I've... changed.))
STEIN VS SEBASTIAN
The black-haired man had a smiled placidly as Ciel, Maka and Crona disappeared into the trees. There was something unsettling about that smile, something unsettling about this whole mission. It made him curious and hurried. Stein wanted to just take him apart and be on his merry way.
Maka and Crona will be fine, he tried to reassure himself. They've fought plenty worse.
...
Right?
"STEIN!"
Spirit's yell jolted Stein out of his thoughts and he pulled left just in time for the knife to barely scratch his cheek. A small drop of blood dripped down his cheek. Utter silence. The stare was intense now, and the butler's red eyes seemed to be almost glowing. Stein did his best to match that with his own cold and calculated green eyed gaze.
"My, my. It seems like someone needs to pay more attention," the butler cooed. His voice was patronizing, taunting.
"I pay more attention than most people do in a lifetime." Stein smiled, but his eyelid twitched. Adrenaline was already flowing through his bloodstream. Fight fight fight fight win win blood dissect dismember dismember fight fight fight--
"Is that supposed to impress me?"
Fightfightfightfight-- "Maybe."
"And yet," Sebastian tilted his head slightly to the right. "I somehow have the feeling as if you aren't really trying, doctor. Let's make a little contest, hm? Try to impress me, Franken Stein."
Tmp. WHOOSH.
Sebastian tilted nonchalantly to the left as the black scythe nearly split him in half. His hand flew out to grab the Doctor's neck, but his opponent twisted and managed to toss the butler a few feet away. Like a dignified cat, the demon landed neatly on two feet.
"What do I get if I win this little contest? I'm curious," The doctor asked calmly as he twirled the screw on his head forward. Clickclickclickclick-
"Now now, someone's acting a little cocky." Sebastian pulled a new knife from his coat. "I'm afraid you'll have to find out, Mr. Stein."
"Sounds like an interesting concept." Clickclickclickclik-
Click.
"I accept."
MAKA AND CRONA VS CIEL
Chess at its finest.
Two opponents, staring each other down. A queen and a pawn against a king. Most chess players would be unnerved at this situation, but Ciel had been playing chess for over two hundred years now. Patience was required in this game. Knowledge of people as well, and most importantly, practice.
Ciel Phantomhive had long since obtained all of these skills.
To break the silence, he sighed. "Well then, it seems we are deadlocked. I don't want to be found out, and you don't want to leave me alive. It is a stalemate."
"We're not playing chess," Maka snapped. "This is real. You're a demon and you eat souls, and you need to die."
Ciel winced. "Such harsh words for someone your age. Pity, too. We might have been friends."
"Stay away from Maka!" Crona said, suddenly tense. "You hurt her and I'll- I'll fight you!"
Ciel's eyes narrowed. The boy's voice was different than the one he had heard before, the one yelling the warning. There had to be another person there, but how? "Oh funny," He tried to play it cool. "So you're a ventriloquist, I assume?"
"Not at all," that voice again. A small flash of light from the girl's blade, and suddenly, a half-formed shirtless albino was sticking out of the scythe. A long scar ran across his chest, which was bare. "It's just little old me," the boy smirked.
Ciel was shocked. Many thoughts fought for dominance in his mind. Thoughts like, How is he doing that? Is he a demon as well or something?! And, most sadly, Such nudity in public! Shameful.
Sadly, the last thought was the only one that made it out of his mouth, and the girl deadpanned. She muttered,
"Soul pops out of a blade and the thing the kid most concerned about is that he's shirtless?"
"That was not the only thing I was concerned about! I- I-"
"I don't know how to deal with this..." the pink haired boy murmured.
"Can somebody just start fighting or something?" The albino asked weakly. "It'd make things a lot less awkward..."
Maka was suddenly all business again. "Right."
Ciel casually stood, smiling. "I'll allow the lady to make the first move."
"Okay," Maka growled, getting into ready position. "Now I really don't like you."
"Believe me," Ciel murmured. "The feeling is mutually held."
WHOOSH
The scythe was swung, almost experimentally. It was an easy blow to dodge, but it seemed his opponent was just as skilled. She dodged every one of his punches. Their skill level was equally matched. Which meant only one thing. Ciel would have to play dirty.
But how?

YAY
I UPDATED. HAHAHAHAHAHA~ Sorry for lack of fighting in this chapter, I'm kind of putting if off because I suck at writing fights. Also, I know my writing style may be a bit more different story, but keep in mind, this is anime fanfiction and therefore it will be very cinematic and have lots of talking. Don't like don't read.
Also, I thank my faithful readers for their patience because without you I would be normal.
And normal is boring.
