Chapter 1

Introduction

In this world some people are born with superpowers. Even though it's rare for one to be born with a superpower they had their fair amounts. Until it happened. amounts of people protested and started talking bad about the supers like they were things not human. Sadly people started to agree with them. There were riots, burning down homes, anything you could think of. One little girl couldn't take it and lost control of her powers. This one little girl destroyed a whole town killing everyone in it. At that point the world went into panic. Nobody ever trusted a super again, everybody saw them as threats. It got so bad that the government made organizations around the world to kill these supers. A few years later a man named Edward and a women named Annie rose to the top of the organization. They were known as the king and Queen. They eventually got married, soon after Annie got pregnant. With enough money to last them a while they temporarily retired from the organization. Annie gave birth to beautiful twins Cat rose and Kate Rose. Only one thing, Cat was born with these hated powers. During the birth Cat ended up killing her mother. Edward couldn't handle losing Annie and got into a deep depression. He ended up running away with the twins and raised them until they were four years old. One day, he mysteriously leaves and the twins are left to fend for themselves

8 years later..........

"Come on Cat, we have to go!" I yell as I step out of the abandoned house. We've only lived in that house for about a week. But the T.S.H ( the super hunters) has started to catch up.

The house was surrounded by a forest. The scent of nature filled the air as I opened the door to the outside. It was so relaxing to wake up to this. What a pity we have to leave it all behind.

We did this every since our dad left us. I always have hated doing this. Going through house to house to survive. Only because the T.S.H will take my sister away. I can't lose Cat she's the only thing left that I have.

" Im coming!" Cat yelled snapping me out of my daze. Seconds after, she comes down the stairs with two duffle bags for one for me to hold.

"Were all set" i said smiling as i took her hand. She looked up and smiled back.

Just like that were off.

"So what do you think mom was like" Cat asked. I stepped over a branch then turned around puzzled.

" im not sure, we were really young when she died". Dad says it happened during birth.

We dont remember our mom and we can barely remember our dad. We dont know where we came from and why this has happened to us. All we know is that Mom is dead and Dad left for us to fend for our self. Sometimes I don't ever think I can forgive our dad for leaving us just like this but we have to deal with it.

I wonder why Cat asked that now?

She was silent. I turned to look at her and she was looking down lost in thought.

I released a sigh and turned my eyes to path above us.

"Do you think he left because of me?" I stopped and gave her a glare signaling her to stop.

We turned so we were directly facing each other. I didnt know what to say to be honest. I'm only older by one minute, it's not like I know anymore than she does. After the awkard moment, We walk a little while longer in silence until we reached something. "Is that..." i started."A village" Cat finishes the sentence.

"Stay low" We hide in the bushes with what seems like forever waiting to see if people were living there. It was a really small village like 4-5 houses and some looked like businesses or shops. "Let's go",cat said when she known for sure that the coast is clear. We walk over to a house slowly. "Okay Cat you know what to do. Cat closes her eyes and it goes completely silent." In that house there's some canned food, and over to that house there's some clothes" She points to multiple house and we search through them.

That night

We gathered all the supplies we found and stashed it in our duffle bags. " I think thats enough for now" Cat says as she took the last can of sardins and pushed it into the duffle bag.

" I think we should stay for the night and prepare dinner" I say smiling while i open a can of beans. "Yeah" Cat responded with her hand on her belly.
"We've never been in a place with this many supplies and we don't know when we'll get another chance so don't make to much." Cat says with worried with it.

Cat is right. We've have been in sistuations were we had to eat a roll of bread just for the two of us. I understand why she wants us to save our supplies.

I simply nodded in understanding as I put the beans in the pan that I found in a kitchen. The pan looked old and a little dusty but it would have to do. I guess nobody has been here a while I thought blowing the dust of the pan.

The cabin that we were staying for the night was creepy like a haunted house but It was the best one here so it had to do. The cabin was small enough that can hold two people so i thought it would be perfect for us to.

"Why do we have to stay in a cabin like this... I mean it looks creepy" cat says. "Why? Are u scared of the boogy man" i say in a taunting voice.
" o-ofcouse not!" Cat says trying to look tough. "Whatever you say little kitty".
" Hey I said to stop calling me that its cat! Only dad calls me that!

It goes silent. My eyes opened wide of what she had said to me. even though its been years since our dad left us, she sill remembered our dad calling her kitten. I known it still bothered her. She always blamed her self for what happend that day. She blamed her self that dad left.
" I-I'm sorry I didn't mean". Cat stutters with her words.
"It's alright" I say calmly while patting her head.
