I open the door and my foot touches the frosty grass. I inhale the frigid nighttime air. I'm running the second I am out the door. Everything is silent except for the sound of my feet hitting the ground and my heavy breathing. My legs carry me closer to the fence and before I know it I am past it and running down the street. No lights turn on, nobody comes outside, nothing. I know better than to scream and waste my breath and energy. At the end of my small dead end road, there are woods. Without thinking, I run into the woods and dodge trees from everywhere. I run until I can't move and the I lean back on a tree. I can barely breath and can't feel my legs. Static rings through my head. My hands leap to my temples. The static only gets louder and louder. I never thought I would die like this.
My back runs down the tree as I sink to the ground. My ears pound with the static. Silence. There is just silence now. I look around to see nothing unusual. When I inspect my bare feet I find they are bleeding and covered with cuts. I had to stay there for a second, I knew that, but I wanted so badly to get up and keep running. I stood up and leaned against the tree. There was a person standing before me. No, not a person. It was abnormally tall and I could barely look up at him. He reached down and grabbed me by the collar. I can't really describe what his voice was like. It was almost a whisper but at the same time it was a strong booming voice. "Why are you trespassing in this forest?" It demanded. I choked out the words.
"I-I was running...away...sorry." 'He' didn't put me back down. Huge black tentacles came out from behind him and wrapped around my arms and legs. I could feel my body start to tear apart. Screams echoed through the air. They must have been mine.
"Slender wait!" I hear a scream from somewhere around me. My body relaxes as the tentacles loosen. I can't hear anything after that from the man, but the person...girl keeps talking. I'm hearing only half of the conversation. "He didn't know!" She was screaming at him. "No! That's not right! I can understand why you kill certain people but he didn't do anything and...I can see that he hasn't been ruined yet."
