I couldn't tell if she was still angry, confused, sad, or all of the above. I started to get dizzy and still hadn't seen the girl when I felt the ground beneath me. "Hey." I heard the girl's voice say. I looked up. She was beautiful. Her hair was black with dark purple at the tips. She was so small, wearing jeans and a white sweater. The white almost didn't suit her. "Are you okay?" She asked me. I snapped out of my daze.

"Uh, oh. Yeah, I guess." I tried to stand up, but I was so dizzy that I couldn't even do that and fell back to the ground again. She looked around hurriedly and hummed like she was making a decision.

"Here, I live kinda close to here." She helped me up. I couldn't believe how strong she was for her size. I just looked up at her and smiled a bit, to ease the mood. Underneath that smile, I was terrified. She smiled back at me, which made me feel a little better. I noticed her eyes were a very elegant dark purple and her skin was porcelain perfect. She looked almost like a vampire she was so pale. "Okay, if I help you, can you walk?" She asked me. Her voice was so kind and frail. It sounded almost fearful.

"Probably." I finally answered. We started walking, slowly but surely. Once I had regained myself, I started to walk by myself. I flinched with the pain of my bare feet.

"Where are your shoes?" She asked me. There was something comforting about her voice, but something unwelcoming about it at the same time. She sounded like she was trying to be nice, but trying to keep something out at the same time.

"I didn't have time." I responded.

"What do you mean 'you didn't have time?'" She asked me confused. I looked away from her. "I see. Maybe you will tell me when we get where we are going. For now, here." She took off her shoes. I laughed a little, in a nervous way.

"I don't think those will fit me." I said shyly. She looked down at the shoes she had taken off. "And I don't want you to get hurt." I said unwillingly. I realized what I had said and didn't say anything more.

"Right, first of all, I would be fine. Second," She put her shoes back on. "Sit down and give me a minute." I did as told. She disappeared into the woods for a second. When she came back, she was holding these green and brown...things. She handed them to me. They were shoes. The shoes were made out of bark, leaves, and vines.

"How did you..."

"I have um, pretty good survival skills." I slid them on my feet. They fit perfect.

"How did you know my size?" She looked panicked.

"I just know things." She said simply. I shrugged and got back up. My feet felt much better now that they weren't coming into contact with everything else on the ground, though I could still tell I had some major cuts. I ignored the pain.

"Thanks." I said. She nodded. Then we were both silent for a while. After a couple minutes, I got curious. "Where are we going?" She didn't look at me.

"To my house. It's...nice, I guess." I let the information soak in and tried to stay quiet. It didn't work.

"What was that-"

"Who." She corrected. I paused.

"Who was that?" She sighed.

"His name is Slenderman. He has this huge mansion with a bunch of really actually awesome kille-" She stopped herself. "People that all live there. He's...nice if you get to know him." I was confused at what she said and worried about why she had said killers instead of people the first time.

"So then...do you like him?" She laughed a little.

"You mean like like? Cause no. He's a...friend, I guess." This girl was so mysterious. I realized I didn't know her name.

"I'm Lucian." I said. She stopped walking for a minute and studied me. She looked into my eyes, but it felt like she could see inside me. It was like she was going through my thoughts and mind.

"That's a...nice name." She said slowly after a while. "I'm Desdemona, call me Des."
