So we can kick a little sumthin' sumthin" I sung to Rafael as he drove. We had just gotten back from seeing my auntie and now he was taking me to get my nails done before we got on the road to head back to school.
"Who made this song?" Rafael asked turning the radio up a little.
"Are you serious? How don't you know who made this song?" I asked ashamed to call him my boyfriend, how could he not know that Maxwell made this masterpiece.
"Yeah I like this song,who made it?" He asked again glancing over at me.
"Maxwell babe" I said fiddling with his fingers as his hand rested on my thigh.
"Damn foreal? Let him sing it then" he said looking at me out the corner of his eye.
"You get on my nerves,corny ass" I said laughing.
"I just had to make sure this was his song cus you had ya eyes closed singing ya little heart out like you was in concert" he said giving my thigh a squeeze as his lips parted into a small smile.
"You like my singing tho" I said grinning at him.
"Like is a stretch,tolerate is more like it" he said laughing as I stale faced him.
"You are so rude jelly bean"
"Jelly bean? Who is that" he asked sounding confused.
"You! duh silly" I said intertwining our fingers.
"I don't remember agreeing to that name but I guess" he said shaking his head.
"So what did you and my mom talk about the other day?" I asked.
"Aw man, ya moms scare me"
"Wait what did she say?" I said turning in my seat to face him.
"She was like she know people that can make me disappear if I hurt you but she would kill me before they got the chance to find me and some other shit"
"You lying,that don't even sound like something she would say" I said smacking my lips.
"I swear on my life but she loves you a lot and I understand why she said it, I would say the same thing to someone that's dating one of our kids" snatching my attention from the window I stared at him repeating the last part he said but I decided not to address it.
"I wanna take you somewhere around campus that I think you would like maybe after we can go grab a bite,how do you feel about that?" he asked lowkey trying to rap.
"Ohhhh lil daddy got skills but yes I would like that" I said laughing.
