 School.

Summer was finally over and this was my Senior year of high school. This was the time that I needed to really focus and concentrate on school. No more distractions.

I wasn't really a fashionista, but when it came to school, I always made a great first impression. Having a step-mom wasn't that bad because Marsha would do anything to make me like her, even if it meant letting me spend all of the money on her platinum credit card.

Senior year was the time for responsibility and the last year to actually make things right. This was my time.

"You look great!" Marsha exclaimed happily as I walked into the kitchen wearing denim jeans, red heels, and an off the shoulder top. I put my hair into a messy bun with little effort and thought it looked pretty classy to me.

"Thanks." I replied with a smile . "Thanks again for letting me use your credit card."

"No problem." Marsha replied as she waved her hand in the air. "Anytime."

I set my handbag down on the bar countertop. Marsha sat behind the bar, drinking coffee from her mug. This was awkward. The house was silent, I looked around the kitchen for something to do. I could tell by the look of Marsha's face that this was somewhat awkward to her to.

"I better get to school." I said after a long silence.

Marsha nodded. "Yeah. Have a nice day, hun." She stated as she walked me to the front door.

I sat in my car, staring at Hagerfield high. The tall brick building still looked the same as it did Freshmen year. Student's were talking and laughing, excited to see their friend's after a long summer.

Usually I would be meeting up with Drew and some of his friend's, but now that Drew was no longer around, I was lost.

I got out of the car, passing by people I knew but never really talked to, and waved to them.

I walked inside the school and went to my old locker. It didn't really surprise me that after a long summer I still knew my combination because I've had the same locker since Freshmen year.

"Hey, you!"

I turned my head around to the familiar voice that I knew so well.

I smiled at my friend Andie who I haven't talked to since I started dating Drew. Andie never liked Drew and hated the fact that her former best friend was dating him.

"How are you?" I asked her as I gave her a tight hug.

Andie was the girl next door. Long chocolate brown hair, big brown eyes, and a supermodel figure. I used to envy her but I knew it was wrong to be jealous of your best friend so I tried to pick out her flaws. This was difficult because she had none.

"I heard what happened to Drew." She stated, completely ignoring my greeting. "I'm so sorry."

"It's fine, really." I said with a laugh.

"Anyways," She said as she trailed on. "we should hang out again."

I nodded. "Yeah, totally." I replied.

Andie smiled and layed her hand on my shoulder. "I'll see you around." She said as she walked down the hall.

I rolled my eyes. The only reason why she's talking to me now was because Drew was no longer in my life. That bitch.

I sat in chemistry class waiting for the bell to ring.

It was funny because I saw most of Drew's friend's staring at me in the halls and not one came up to me and asked how Drew was doing. That pissed me off.
