At that moment, I knew, I wasn't able to eat dinner that night. "Where have you been? Can't you see that I've been calling your name over a thousand times." Step mother said. "I'm sorry, I got blocked by the maids, I didn't want to disturb them." I said. "You think you can lie to me? Your hands are cut from the zither, I can tell you were doing something, you weren't suppose too. Xiao Chi, give her 20 slaps and make sure you whip her legs so she can learn not to go to the pavillon again." She said. "Yes, madam." Xiao Chi answered.
After I got slapped & whipped, I went back into my room and put medicine on my injuries. You were probably thinking where my maids were but I was alone. I wasn't favored by my dad, step mother or my sister. So, no one really cared about what happened to me. The good thing was, my mother cared about me. Even though, my mother wasn't favored by my father, she still cared & think about her daughter everyday. "I'm sorry Miyue, you always get punished by first wife." Mother said. "It's okay! I'm strong as a bull mother!" I said. At least, I made my mother smiled yet I knew she wasn't happy.
