~Carmen~
I woke up the following morning the my phone ringing. "Hello?" I greeted into the receiver, still half asleep.
"Good morning Miss Bradshaw just reminding you have an interview with Noah Benton today at one." My personal assistant Melissa informed me.
"Ok I will be there." I said, hanging up after saying goodbye. Glancing at the clock I realize it is already 10:13 so I get up out of bed and start to get ready. By 11:15 I was all ready for the day. My hair was back into a high ponytail and my dress had a white top with a sweetheart neckline and the skirt part was a light blue and the back had cut-outs. My shoes were simple nude peep-toe heels with cut-outs.
Just as I was finishing my makeup my phone rang again. "Hey Xavier, what's up?" I said as soon as I answered.
"Nothing much Car, I was just wondering if you wanted to hang out?"
"I can't until later today around four, I have an interview but we can hang out after." I said as I grabbed my purse.
"Sure, call me when you get back to your house and I'll come over." He agrees. We both say goodbye and hang up and I exit my house and get into the car that was waiting for me.
When I arrive at the studio where our interview was being filmed my manager gave me what I was supposed to say and half an hour later me and Noah walked onto the stage, bright smiles on our faces.
As soon as we sat down and the interviewer greeted us, the questions began. "So Carmen, Noah how did you two meet?"
"I did a couple songs for one of his movies and I played them for the cast and we talked afterward and the rest is history." I said simply, looking over at Noah, trying to seem reminiscent.
"So when did you start dating? Judging by last night it wasn't your first date." She questioned us again.
This time it was Noah's turn to answer. "About a month ago but it seems like I've known her forever." He says, leaning over and placing a gentle kiss on my cheek.
We went through the rest of the interview pretty flawlessly. After it was done we both the left the stage and then the studio without uttering another word to each other.
When I got home I immediately texted Xavier and told him he could come over. About 10 minutes later the front door opened and he entered, walking straight into the kitchen where I was mixing up some chocolate chip cookies.
"Hey how was the interview?" Was the first words out of his mouth as he hopped up onto the counter next to where I was standing.
"Hey get off my counter!" I said, hitting him lightly in the side of his rib cage.
"Ugh, fine." He groaned, pretending to be upset, causing us both of us to laugh.
"The interview was good for your information." I said, turning around to grab a baking sheet out of the cupboard.
When I turned around he was reaching to grab some of the batter. "Leave my cookie dough alone!" I squealed, smacking his hand away playfully.
I looked up at him and into his deep brown eyes. He really was cute. 'No stop' I scolded myself. He's my best friend and we're not in middle school anymore. I looked away realizing I had been holding my breath and a blush spread across my cheeks.
