Sheldon had landed the USS Enterprise on an unfamiliar planet. It was if a magnetic draw pulled them there. Everything was glowing. Everything was hearts and music. He would rather be on Planet Mudd.
Suddenly, a blood-sucking alien held Andy in front him. Sheldon felt his stomach drop...his hands shakily found his phaser. He had to save her.
"You cannot save her," the telepathic monster said in a cold and terrifying voice, reading his every thought.
"Sheldon..." Andy began in a scared and defeated voice, "I was so wrong...about everything. But I just can't get over you. I'm yours until the end...and I fear this is the end. I love you, Dr. Cooper."
And with that, the monster disintegrated her into dust.
"NO!!!!" he yelled.
Sheldon woke up unable to breathe well. What was happening to him? This is the third vivid and disgustingly love-oriented dream he'd had since meeting her. And unfortunately, this one contained no nudity of any sort. He also made a vow to never binge-watch Star Trek before bed again.
He got through his morning routine as best as he could, pushing her from his thoughts nearly constantly. At lunch time, he decided to distract himself by watching Indiana Jones. But he was having a hard time hiding his distress.
"Are you okay, buddy?" Leonard asked as they were cleaning up their boxes of Chinese take-out.
"Why do you ask?" Sheldon answered half-heartedly.
"Your face, unlike usual, kinda says it all."
Sheldon didn't have to say anything for Leonard to know exactly how he was feeling. They had been friends for so long. Sheldon was a difficult man to crack, but if anyone could figure him out, it would be Leonard. The past month had been crazy. He didn't think that Sheldon would ever find a girl that made him feel in love...or even more than that, one that could get him to be physically intimate.
"Sheldon, I think this girl's your kryptonite..." Leonard said, trying to say it in terms that they both could understand.
"You mean...even one of the most intelligent minds in the world isn't safe from a notion as useless as falling in love?"
Leonard shot him a look, but decided not to argue. "That's one way of putting it."
Sheldon looked down at the floor, suddenly feeling everything so intensely. It wasn't just lust he had felt...it was longing...it was overwhelming...it was as if he had found a missing part of himself that he didn't know existed.
"Leonard...I think...that I need to go find her."
"Ok, buddy...I'll give you a ride. I think she's working this weekend. And what better way to find your kryptonite than at a comic book store."

After seeing Sheldon in her apartment the week before, Andy was in no position to deny how absolutely, terribly in love she was. She had already decided not to move. But now she had to decide - let it go or try to explain herself to him.
After making a trip to the public library to check out a rather embarrassingly large stack of physics textbooks and falling asleep on the couch crying while simultaneously reading one and drinking a glass of wine...she'd decided that simply letting it go was rather an impossibility at the moment.
She would just have to convince him that physics and psychology are both worthy subjects - and both are reliant on scientific evidence. She wasn't as genius as he was, she thought, but they both had a lot to teach each other.
