"Ok, that's enough" Matt puts his arm between me and the dark-eyed man. "Dom, calm down," he says with a nervous laugh. Oh, so that's his name.
"Don't tell me what to do," Dom says in a stern voice, without even looking at Matt.
"Seriously Dominic sit down," Matt says sternly. Dominic slowly sits in the booth, avoiding eye contact with both of us.
"Testardo come un toro" I mutter to myself as I turn to walk away.
Matt overhears me and smirks, "You know Italian?"
I stop in my tracks and turn around, "Yeah I do, I'm guessing you do too?"
"Yes, Dom and I are fluent" he says.
"That's cool," I say as I awkwardly bounce off the heels of my feet realizing Dominic understood what I said. Dominic throws a couple twenties on the table and gets up, he walks out of the diner leaving just Matt and I.
Matt slowly gets up, "I'm sorry about him, I'll see ya around," he says with a small wave.
"Have a good rest of your night," I say to Matt.
I walk behind the counter and grab a clean rag and head back to their table to clean it. I notice Alice getting ready to leave. "Bye Alice, see you tomorrow." I say as she puts on her coat.
"Bye kid, see ya tomorrow." she waves as she walks out of the diner.
As I wash the last dirty table I notice that the only people left in the diner is me and Chuck.
I quickly pull my phone out of my back pocket and check the time. It's 9:24 and the diner closes at 9:30. As I walk back behind the counter I hear Chuck say "Bye kiddo." I look up and see him getting off the stool. "Bye Chuck, will I see you tomorrow?" I ask even though I already know it's a yes.
"Actually no," he says with a cheeky grin. "I'm going on a date with Mary." he smiles.
Mary is another one of the regulars at the diner, and her and Chuck have always had some sort of connection. But both of them were too afraid to tell each other there feelings, until now I guess.
"That's great Chuck!" I smile, "How did this finally happen?"
"A few days ago, after eating here, we went for a walk downtown. We talked and talked. It was great," he says with a sheepish smile.
"And you are just telling me now!" I shake my head and laugh a little.
He chuckles, "I'm sorry kiddo, see ya later, be safe."
"You need to tell me every detail next time you come in!!" I shake my finger at him.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah" he says, the bell rings as Chuck leaves the diner. I look around and make sure all the tables are clean. I shut off the neon open sign, and flip the open sign on the door so it now says closed. I take my apron off and hang it up on the hook. All the cooks have left so I'm left to lock up the place. I lock the back door first, then I grab my bag and walk out the front door locking it behind me. I unlock my car and hop in the drivers seat.

Soon enough I am pulling into my driveway. I live in a tiny blue house just outside of the city. It's a pretty quiet neighborhood, it's a nice break from downtown Philly. I shut off my car and walk towards my front door. I search for my house key in my purse, I quickly find it and unlock the door.
"Good to be home," I throw my purse on a chair in my living room. I head to my bathroom to take a quick shower. As I'm washing my hair, my mind drifts to the two men in suits from the diner. I smile at the thought of Matt, the sweet one with gorgeous green eyes. Then my mind drifts off to Dominic, the one with eyes so black you'd think they were fake, my smile drops and a grimace appears just thinking about it. I wonder if they are brothers or if they are just friends? I can't imagine two brothers being so different from each other.
I quickly finish up in the shower, hop out, and put a towel around myself. I dry myself off and throw on a big t-shirt. I head into my bedroom and search for my TV remote, having no luck, as my remote always gets lost in my bed. I shuffle around and eventually find it. I throw on an episode of The Kardashians as it has been my new guilty pleasure. Snuggled up in my bed, I watch the Kardashian sisters argue over everything under the sun and I drift off.
