"We're here," Jill said, sighing with relief. "But, where's Cam? I don't see her!"
"Boo!" Cam jumped up behind us, laughing her ass off as Jill shrieked. As for me? I turned around so fast, I got whiplash.
"Jesus Christ, Cam!" Jill yelled.
"Why the fuck did you do that?!" I yelled at her.
"It was too funny to resist!" I slapped her. "Ow! Haha. It's still funny!"

We all whirled around, guns up, pointing at the noise.
"Come out right now, motherfuckers!" Jill said. "Now! Drop your weapons, too!" Cam and I gave her sideways glances of shock and pride.
They came out, and our jaws dropped. There were 3 guys, about our age. 17-18, I'd guess.
"Sorry!" The one in the middle said. "We thought you were 'washed'. Guess not..."
"I'm Trey, and this is Marcus and Lucas." The one in the middle introduced the guys on his left, and then his right.
"H-hi. I'm Jill and this is Cam and Ky." Jill replied shakily, pointing to each of us as she said our names.
Aw! Little Jilly's nervous!
"Are you friend or foe? I mean, are you brainwashed like the other people?" I questioned, suspiciously. "Because if you are, I will blow your damn brains out!"
Cam stood at Jill's other side, quietly. Her gun was still raised. I had my gun at my side, ready to raise and shoot. I wasn't one to quickly trust anyone.
Trey walked up to Jill, his gun down. I raised mine at him. If that son of a bitch gets any closer to her, I swear...
"How about this? You don't shoot us if we don't shoot you. Deal?" He asked, holding his hand out for Jill to shake. I stepped in front of her.
"Oh, hell no." I said, knocking his hand away. "Look, Trey. I don't trust you. So how about this? If I shoot you, I shoot you where it won't kill you."
"Ky..." Jill said from behind me, pushing me out of the way. "I've got this." I starred daggers at her as she shook Trey's hand.
I put my gun in my back pocket, trying not to be tempted to shoot them. I felt a tap on my shoulder. I quickly turned around, and knocked the hand away from me, grabbing the wrist, adn twisting it so I had an advantage.
"Whoa, take it easy!" Lucas said. "I'm a friend."
I let go of his wrist, straightening out my flannel I was wearing. "I don't take kindly to people touching me."
"Okay, Jackie Chan." Jill said. "They're our only friends at the moment, so keep the attacking to a minimum, will you?"
"I make no promises." I muttered.
I looked over at Cam who was talking and laughing with the other one, Marcus, I think.
"Okay, Trey. I'm going to say this once, so make sure you get it through your skull." I said. "If you try anything, I will not hesitate to kill you. Trust me when I say this, I have creative ways to kill you. These are my girls, and if you do anything-"
"Ky, leave him alone." Jill said, exasperated. "He hasn't done anything wrong."
"You remember how long it took me to trust you?" I asked Jill. "Years. Now, we're in the fucking apocalypse. It's gonna take a hell of a lot longer for me to trust three teenage guys that happened to find out when we did that the world is ending."
"The washing started in our town weeks ago." Lucas said. "My brother and I noticed our parents acting different, so we packed our bags, got Trey, and ran out of town as soon as we could."
"We're from Queens." Marcus said.
"We started walking about three weeks ago." Trey said, not turning his stare away from Jill.
Ugh. The lovey-dovey air is making me sick.
"Well, hell." Cam said. "Where can we go now? All of fucking New York must be washed by now! Shit!"
"We'll find a way to get out of here. We'll get somewhere safe, and then we'll figure out what the hell is causing The Wash. I promise." Trey said.
He better keep that promise, because I'm still very tempted to shoot him.
