Evelyn's POV

Soon we were back on the main road. ''Ok Aaron, we need to find a new place. We have to leave Thompson Falls...actually let’s move to a different state,'' I said. Aaron nodded but I could see sadness in his eyes. ''Hey, are you ok?'' I asked when I crouched down to be on his level , he only came up to my chest.

''Yeah I'm fine. It's just...I’ve  never been in anyway apart from Thompson Falls,'' He answered.

I nodded and took his hand, starting to walk. ''I understand,'' I replied, for the next hour we went into town. We did a little shopping, we got new clothes and I bought a map of America for Aaron.       Once we were in fresh new clothes, we went back into the forest. ''Where shall we go?'' I muttered while Aaron was looking at the map.

''How about...Georgia?'' He asked looking up at me.

I scrunched up my face and shook my head ''Nah, been there...nothing special''. Aaron rolled his eyes and went back to his map, I laughed and sat down on a branch. This might take a while...       ''Texas?''

''Nope, too sunny''.

''Tennessee?''

''Nah, the humans are annoying there''.

''California?''

''Nice place, but too crowded and sunny''.

''New York?''

''Hmm...too crowded and too much tourism''.

''Washington?''

Ok, that sounds better. ''Not bad... Not boring, not too sunny and...I have a house there,'' I said.

''Really? You have a house in Washington?''

I laughed and said ''Well it's more like a mansion...but yeah. Oh and not just there, I have one in almost all states''.

''Wow, seriously? That's so awesome!''

''Yeah, did you really think that I can stay in one place for over a thousand years?'' I said and I rolled my eyes for more effect.

Aaron stuck his tongue out and said ''Whatever, so where in Washington?''

I sighed and came down from the tree, and looked at the map. ''Somewhere along the coast, I want to be able to go to the sea. And some small town would be perfect, so we can stay there longer. Oh and the place has to be...away from other cities...in case we slip up and well you know...''.

Aaron nodded and scratched his head, ''Hey, look at this place,'' he said pointing at a spot.

''I would...but your finger is covering it up''.

''Oh sorry'' he said and moved his finger out of the way. He was pointing at Forks...I never been there before but I do have a house there. Which I’ve never even used...

''Forks huh? I remember having a house built there, but I’ve never actually been to that place''.

''Why did you build a house, if you weren't going to use it?''

''Well, I built it for the future...in case I need it, like now''.

Aaron laughed and said, ''Whatever you say, to save your pride''.

I raised both of my eyebrows and snorted ''To save my pride? I'll show you,'' and then I playfully growled and gently tackled him to the ground. He giggled and tried to get up, he was stronger than me but I have tactics. I managed to keep him down, until he was out of breath.

''Hey, can you teach me how to fight?'' He asked randomly as I pulled him up to his feet.       '

'Sure'' I answered.

''But why?''

''Because I don't know how to, and I think it's important to know how to defend yourself''.

''Ok, I was only looking for a simple answer like I want to, but your answers are better''.

He laughed and said ''Thanks. But when are we gonna leave for Forks?''

''Right now, I think we had better catch a plane. Running's going take a while''.

''Wait. I don't have a passport''.

''Haha but luckily I do. And plus with me around, you wouldn't need one''.

''Cool,'' he smirked.

I took out a pair of contact lenses from my bag and handed it to him. ''Wear these, I bought them in town,'' I said. Our trip to town was horrific, the humans were asking so many questions.

''Why?'' Aaron asked puzzled.

I sighed and said like if it was obvious ''To cover up your red eyes''.

''Oh, aren't you gonna wear one too?''

''Yes I am,'' I answered and then I put my ones in. It felt uncomfortable, but it has to do. I bought our tickets after...lunch, and when it was 9 o’clock, we were on our plane to Forks. I set up everything too. Our house was going to be ready for us and a car is already rented for me. This place had better be amazing.
