Evelyn's POV
It turned out that those vamps were a stupid bunch. I mean, how idiotic is it for vampires to light a fire? Seriously? I thought they'd be smarter. Plus, after a little bit of sniffing around, their scents were noticeable. Of course I killed every single one of them, taking pleasure in doing so as well. Just when I was about to leave, I heard a noise. It seemed as though I had missed one. It was Aaron. He was the latest to be turned, and the youngest in physical age, he had been only 10 when I turned him. He had light chestnut brown hair, which had the most adorable curls, and he had two little dimples on each cheek. Overall, he was one cute little boy. Seeing him made my stomach turn and I felt something, guilt. He was shaking. I slowly walked up to him and bent down so that I was on eye level with him.
''Hello Aaron'' I smiled gently, he stared at me with his beautiful red eyes and long eyelashes. '' I'm not gonna hurt you,'' I sighed and held my hand out to him, I wasn't lying. I could never bring myself to hurt Aaron. After all, he is the one person who I had turned, not out of selfishness. I had saved him from a horrible death.
He hesitated before placing his hands in mine. I pulled him into a hug and whispered in his ear, ''Do you want to come with me?'' He nodded and gave me a weak smile. I took a deep breath and looked at our surroundings.
''Hey, are you hungry?'' I asked suddenly, because I knew that the older vamps would never spare any of their catch for Aaron. Yes, when I had found the bunch, they had food with them.
He nodded, ''Yes”.
I grinned and stood up. ''Let's teach you to hunt'' I winked causing him to laugh. One problem caught my attention; we were in the middle of nowhere, we would have to try animal blood. ''Ok Aaron, there are no humans here, so we're hunting animals. Is that ok?'' I asked.
''That's fine,'' he answered.
I grinned and ruffled his hair, ''Let's go''.
